hello can you use this on the gas cooker

I cannot comment on its use on a gas cooker, however, we do use it on an induction hob. We have boiled it quite vigorously on several occasions and it has withstood the heat perfectly.

can this be used to brew grande coffee beans as well as tea?

This pot can’t be used on a cooker at all. You pour in boiling water then add the tea bags and wait.

Does the water come into contact with any metal parts at the base?

Yes, the base is the metal part. I don't like this teapot and have given mine to the charity shop.
