Perfect fit (on NYPD shield only, though)
My movie prop detective shield fits the cut out perfectly. However, using a standard "Blanket" safety pin to mount the shield won't work since the pin lugs on the back prevent you from closing the holder flat. I simply broke off the lugs (since I was planning on glueing the badge in anyway) and used some "Goo" on hte inside edge of the badge. The result was great. Also, I think the NYPD shield is the only size that fits this holder.

Very disappointed with the misleading advertising
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. The pocket that is advertised with this badge holder is ridiculously to small to hold the chain that goes with the holder. The response from the company was dismissive and condescending. Very disappointed with the misleading advertising.
