I started taking berberine 1250mg for weight loss and blood sugar support after hearing so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was not good. After about 3 weeks, I developed severe bloating and constipation to the point where my stomach looked pregnant. I ended up needing laxatives just to have a bowel movement. I do walk daily and was hoping this supplement would help support gradual weight loss, but instead it seemed to completely upset my digestion. Once I finally went to the bathroom, I lost several pounds immediately, which showed me how much of the issue was bloating and retained stool. I know berberine works well for some people, but for me the side effects outweighed any benefits. If you try it, I’d recommend starting with a much lower dose and paying close attention to digestive side effects.

These seem to be a quality product, but I can’t speak to their effectiveness after using them for just a few days. I have been taking two a day with meals as directed, and though I have not yet noticed any change in my weight, mood or wellness, I realize it is way too early to expect results. I’m also not sure how I can ever gauge wellness, but I trust that I will know it when I feel it. At the current price of $12 and change, these appear to be a great bargain if they work, and if they don’t, it’s not a big loss. As with most unregulated dietary supplements, the Thinbi berberine capsules require a degree of patience and trust. I am holding out hope that they will help me shed a few pounds, but I will not be shocked if they don’t. I am giving these four out of five stars out of the starting gate based on my initial optimism but I will revisit this review in the weeks to come if my opinion changes — especially if I notice a change in my wellness.

I use this product along with Contrave. The Contrave works well on its own but I think the Berberine makes it work better. Sticking to a 1200 calorie diet was impossible before but the combination of Contrave and Berberine make it easy. I have used Contrave successfully in the past but adding the Berberine has just made it a little easier to stick with the program long term.
