Not exactly a hit with kids
The idea with these seems to be a cough drop, but with a lollipop stick to convince a kid they're candy rather than medicine, and maybe to ensure they don't choke on them? For the record, while this product listing says they're for ages 2+, the packaging DOES say 3+. I'm not sure why they chose elderberry for this, without supplementing it with other berries. I don't mind elderberries, and obviously they're used here for their medicinal effects... but that's not exactly a flavor loved by children, especially when the sucker is filled with large, grainy pieces of dried berry. They should've just used a fine elderberry powder, and maybe added in strawberry powder or something.

Great for kids without being super sweet
MommaBear Organics Handcrafted Kids Cough Lollipops As the weather got a bit wet and cold, two of our littles developed a cough. These MommaBear Organics Handcrafted Kids Cough Lollipops came in really handy in providing relief without being sugar-packed candy lollipops. Can't speak to their exact efficacy of the elderberry combatting any sickness, but the lollipops did help soothe some of the coughing fits. There is a good amount of honey in the lollipop to coat the throat. You can see and feel the bits of elderberry (again, won't speak to their efficacy because some folks are believers in their ability to reduce colds while others are not). The lollipops themselves are a good size. Not too big that it takes forever to eat, but big enough to actually provide some relief. I will say I think making it a lollipop was a great idea because our 2YO can't safely consume a cough drop (either he will chew it to pieces or try to swallow it whole), but he could suck on the lollipop without us having to worry about potential choking. Great product to have on hand during cold season and love that it comes from natural ingredients.

MommaBear Organics Handcrafted Kids Cough Lollipops
I assumed these would be similar to the ones we get from the grocery store for kids - lol eez I think, which work great. These however lack the main ingredient used in the other brands to actually help with a sore throat (pectin) SO I'm not sure how these are supposed to do anything other than provide a sugar rush for kids with the ingredients being nearly all sugar, no juice concentrates or etc that are usually found in natural suckers. These are also very pricey for at 5/$8. Any sick kiddo would need at least a few during the day to provide any kind of sore throat relief! These are legit 3x the price of the ones that actually help.

Natural and sizeable
What I like about the sore throat and cough care lollipops is that they are all natural and made with organic honey and organic tapioca syrup. They are advertised for so sore throat I believe because they have honey. They do not have any kind of chemical or pharmaceutical ingredient that would help with pain, in that respect they are great for kids. They do have elderberry in them, which has been known to alleviate or help alleviate flu and cold symptoms so getting that into your system can be very beneficial. They are larger in diameter than I thought they would be, but also thin so not very sizable in that respect. They are sweet but not cloying. I’m sure that your child will love the taste. They are good for about a year of the date on the bag. There are five servings. This is a woman owned company so if you like to support that area of our industry, it’s an extra boost to the community.

Only some will like the taste of these
Unfortunately these took a while to arrive and by the time I got them we had already missed the "everybody is sick" period. I can't believe how long I actually had to wait for somebody to complain about their throat again, which was actually a good thing. I opened them right away and found the look of the lollipops to be very interesting. They are clearish yellow with tiny dots of elderberry throughout. I thought they looked pretty tasty, but really couldn't believe a whole bag only contains 5 suckers. That will barely get us through one sick person, but throw in multiple children and this bag will go quickly! When one of the kids had a sore throat again I tried this right away. Of course, she said it was disgusting and couldn't possibly suffer through it. I got these for free through the vine program, but knowing that these run over $1.50 per sucker, still made my head hurt at throwing this one out. To my amazement, nobody else caught this round of sickness, so I finally just broke another one apart and let everybody try a piece. I thought these were so delicious. I didn't notice a honey taste; it was mostly just a strong berry flavor. The flavor may have been slightly on the tart side, which I imagine is what made 2 of the kids say no thanks to this one. The other 2 loved it as well. If these were more affordable I would probably just enjoy them as a treat on occasion! I can't say for sure how well these work for a sick person, since we have not yet given them a good try during that period. I imagine these would provide some relief for sore throat and cough though. I appreciate the good quality ingredients and know elderberry and honey should both be great during times of sickness. I like the idea of a lollipop on a stick rather than a cough drop for younger children as well. I am glad we all gave it a taste test now, so I don't waste one on the wrong kid again. I would love to see these available in a larger sized bag, perhaps with a slight discount for buying more at once. I will consider purchasing these again in the future.

MommaBear Organics Handcrafted Kids Cough Lollipops (Ages 2-11)
Since the item page has good photos, and it has a good description of this product, I will not bother adding pictures or more of a description. These are really good. They have a sweet, honey taste. They last a long time. They are very soothing for your throat. In my opinion it would better for kids who can be trusted with a lollipop with a stick. I would say 4 and up. It's up to your judgement.

Great concept
This is a great idea to get a child to take his medicine. The pops are thin. I didn’t think the elderberry honey pop tasted particularly enticing, like some cough drops do. It has a semi-medicinal taste. So I’m not sure how much kids would love that flavor. And though the pops are thin, they can last awhile. I don’t know about the other flavors, but I’m not certain this one would sustain a child’s interest. It certainly feels soothing to the throat. Might be good to have on hand as an alternative for when your child gets a cough, or sore throat. Adults could easily use these too. But with just five pops costing nearly ten dollars, these would probably be best for occasional use. Which might be fine, cause hopefully you won’t need them that often. The main ingredient is organic honey. Does contain sugar.
