uSDR uSDX 8 Bands SDR All Mode High Frequency SSB QRP Transceiver with Power and SWR Indicator

This was a gift and my husband absolutely loved it. He takes it everywhere and would strongly recommend it for no ice to intermediate ham operators. A great start in hf radio.

Junk radio… controls work when they want too..doesn’t receive very well tried on different antennas specially for the bands… not a single thing on cb band…barely picked up a super strong signal 40m beware… returned it!!

This would have been a decent radio for the cost had there been a response from the reseller or a better return policy from Amazon. The unit arrived with a hardware defect, which was there was an apparent short in the CW key paddle jack which caused to radio to go into transmit mode with NOTHING plugged in to the CW paddle jack. The Amazon return 'bot stepped me through a generic disassembly and repair process, but unfortunately there is no schematic available for this particular variant, no any kind of parts callout. There are a myriad of clones of this radio out there, and trying to order a replacement jack would amount to a "crap shoot" without specific documentation. I guess I'll try to use the radio for POTA until the day I forget to first plug in a keyer cable without attaching an antenna, smoking the final transistor. See attached video.

The radio arrived with a bad microphone, no manual. The SSB modulation was very distorted and could not clear it up with adjustments to bias. Had trouble with the CW key plug. Had to pull it out part way to key the tx. Over all I felt for the $200 total I paid was justifiable for the lack of quality.
