Hi, does it need to be calibrated?

I don't think it does when you first buy it but later I guess it might to be calibrated to be accurate. I find it very helpful because sometimes after drinking late you are not ready to drive too early in the morning. I used to test it out after a drink, 20 minutes later etc. It certainly works.

Some reviews say it isn't accurate. How accurate is it?

There is not an answer to this unless you compare the results to the police breathalyser 😁. But our police uses the same brand here. I believe it is really very accurate .
