Colorfil - Our Story Colorfil was founded by a 3D print shop so we're very familiar with the issues you often encounter in 3D printing. Before starting Colorfil, we tried nearly all of the major brands of PLA - extruding thousands of pounds of filament through our printers. And probably like you, we've been through it all: brittle filament, cracking, jamming due to impurities, jamming due to dust contamination, moisture absorption...the list goes on. All of these problems can be solved or at least mitigated by good filament and spool selection. Unfortunately, none of the bands we worked with got everything right or at least at a price point we needed to stay profitable. Therefore we used our experience to come up with our own line of PLA to do just that. No More Filament Cracking Small diameter spools create tightly bent filament which gets stressed and can potentially crack when passing through a guide tube or bowden tube. To avoid this, our filament is wound on large diameter spools which don't allow the filament to have a bend radius of less than 45 mm. Less Filament Contamination We found it's best to have spools that don't have any windows or holes on the sides. This prevents dust and moisture from accumulating on the filament. Compatible with Nearly All Spool Holders Each spool has a large 53 mm bore so you shouldn't have issues fitting it on your existing spool holder. We Love Clear Spools Not only do these look way cooler next to your printer, they also make it easier to approximate how much plastic is left so you don't run out mid-print. And unfortunately we didn't put the gauge sticker on them yet, but we'll do it for the next run. Thank you for checking out our listing and be sure to follow us for new products! Thank you, Justin Colorfil

"Dark Clear"
I would call this color dark clear. Filament flowed well on my Ender3 at 205 deg. Very cool effect, but keep in mind it looks more transparent on the roll than it will be after printing. Photos are of an object printed in vase mode, to keep as much transparency as possible. There is also a very subtle "sparkle" in the finish, which is hard to describe. Overall, very nice results and I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

Dried out quickly
It dried out to quickly, kept snapping, luckily never during a print, but sitting, it would snap between prints. First time using this brand, don't know if fluke, but won't order again.

Really transperent
Should be a little more on the dark side and not on the transparent. Another brand had the same name was a better transparent black

Love this material! Smoked clear PLA
Prints well at 190 with a bed temp of 60. I've been impressed with the strength and I love the color! Resembles a clear, smokey-silver, glitter-type color. I printed a Soap Dish that mounts on a brushed-nickel finished bar, and I'm impressed on how close the color matches! Thanks! Now one of my favorite materials... Will be buying more soon!
