This is a gift for my daughter and I looked at it making sure it works base on former reviews. At first the lid wouldn’t close and it was extremely disappointed but my husband laughed and said hold the lid and turn the handle. It then will latch and stay close. So now I’m extremely satisfied lol

My 8-month-old is absolutely captivated by this Elmo jack-in-the-box! She giggles with anticipation as the "Waltzing Matilda" tune plays, and erupts in laughter when the soft Elmo plush pops out. The sturdy metal box with vibrant Sesame Street designs has held up perfectly through daily play. At 5.25 x 5.25 x 5.5 inches, it's the perfect size for little hands. This timeless toy brings endless joy and smiles—highly recommend for any Elmo-loving baby or toddler!

For the price I wish it was a little better constructed. Elmo’s arm gets caught every time it shuts which makes it difficult for a toddler to do it alone. The lid is thin and can be bent easily. The music is very soft. The colors and presentation are very fun but it’s a little difficult for an 18 month old to play with on her own.

2 year old grandson loved it. He could turn it by himself! Made well!

I bought this for my nephew my nephew turns to handle and when Elmo pops up, he laughs and laugh so hard four stars
