Soft Ice
This ice machine works great, is easy to clean. It is a bit loud at times.

Great ice, but machine not built to last.
This WAS a great item - loved the "good ice" on demand, and ability to clean the machine easily - until it died after 6 months. I thought it was a reasonable expense compared to purchasing the extra ice maker attachment to my fridge, but not if I have to buy a new one every 6 months. Wish it was built to last! If the company replaces my machine, I will update this review to 5 stars.

Best Nugget Ice Maker by far
I have only been using the ice maker for a little over a week now and I love it. When the ice is first made it is kind of slushy but after it sits for about 10 minutes or so, the ice hardens up and works great in drinks. I use about 4 shovel fulls of ice in my 50 ounce insulated mug and I can honestly say that it lasts at least 24 hours. I’ve owned three other ice makers but so far this nugget ice maker is the best. In the video below you can see that the ice was somewhat slushy but like I said, after it sits for a little bit the ice hardens up and is great in drinks as you can see in the second photo of the ice in my drink.

Life Expectancy Anxiety
Purchased in May (it's October now) the machine when going through the cleaning cycle is making a grinding noise that is unnervingly loud and sounds like something is stuck. The ice making is quick, the cubes are nice and small, other than the cleaning noise that has gotten loud its pretty quiet.

WAY better than the GE Profile Opal.
It has been three months since I purchased this unit and I could not be more happy with it. My previous nugget ice maker was a GE Profile Opal and it finally officially died after about two years. By the time it died, I was glad to see it go. The profile has a larger ice bin, but is indescribably more difficult to keep clean and maintain. The GE Profile also has a design flaw that allows metal shavings from the auger to build up into a sludge inside a hidden reservoir tank that is not cleaned with the regular recommended (extensive) cleanings. Only three months into this unit, but I have not cleaned it as often as recommended, yet I’ve seen zero signs. When I do clean it, it’s extremely easy and quick. Great unit so far, definitely recommend. Ice bin is small, but It replenishes quickly.

Only lasted a year. Ice melts quickly.
Lasted a year and fan motor frozen up! Not worth the money paid. Ice melts almost immediately when a beverage is poured over it.

Great - for 6 months.
I’ve purchased two of these. They make great “crunchy” ice nuggets and makes them quickly. Also easy to clean. HOWEVER, after about 6 months, BOTH machines made a loud grinding noise, smelled like something was overheating, and DIED. TWO machines - that’s a pattern.
