Another cool item that serves a good purpose and is fun to play with.
This is a fun toy that also serves a function. You can 100% warm up water on it. I’ve warmed up a half a gallon at a time numerous times..I really enjoy the adjustability of the flame so I can control the water temperature if I just want to maintain a pot of warm or hot water. The paraffin oil uses a bit expensive. It works really well and produces both light and heat..You cannot leave it on its side if there is oil in it, it will leak. If you set it up, you should not be moving it around.. this is a great emergency item, but I don’t know if I’ll be taking a camping. It’s pretty fuel efficient. You can get maybe an hour or two if it’s full, depending upon how high the flame is.I think it’s really enjoyable to look at and I’m certainly glad I got it.It’s another guy geek thing. Kind of cool looking and functional.

pretty and functional
love the warm light it gives off. i can cook with it as advertised but i only used it for that once to see how it worked as thats not why i bought it, and i saw a similar item but of cast iron and im glad i got this one instead as it allows more access to the wick as the window area opens door like but the top area also can be taken off . i also think it looks nicer

Awesome
This thing is awesome. I use it to heat a small kettle, heat and light a room in a power outage. Only complaint is the very small fill hole. You will definitely need a funnel and a very small one at that. And don't turn it up too high. Most online reviews show people turning it up too high, that's how you get smoke. If you follow the directions it burns very clean

Awesome, cute, very useful, but mine has a couple of issues.
Great delivery time (overnight), the quality of the materials is excellent, but the precision is a bit off with mine.First, the two side latches on the top tray are low enough that either of them interfere with opening the front door more than 90 degrees. Not a huge problem, but it's a design flaw. The top section of the unit is hinged so that you can unclasp it from the back side, and bend it forward to access the wick and light it. However, when I snap it back into position, there is at least 1/8" of play in the latch hole, so that the top section does not close tightly. This causes the top section to lean forward, and when you look at the stove sideways, it's titled. It's supposed to be perfectly vertical, and I find it annoying. There is no way to fix this, so I consider it a defect. All latches: two for the top tray, and one to open the door, are almost too tight to release. On a perfectly flat surface, there is a some wobble, as the 4 legs of the unit are not perfectly flat.It is adorable, it looks cool as heck, and can add some heat to a small room. I can live with the other issues, but that gap that causes the top section to lean is annoying. I'd like to exchange it, but now it's got fuel in it so I'd have to clean it all out, go through the time-consuming exchange process, and there's no guarantee a replacement's going to be any better. I'm a guitar player, and it's like buying a new Fender Stratocaster and realizing later that the pickguard was installed crooked.Knowing these things ahead of time, would I have still bought it? Tough call, but probably not. As cool as it is, I hate defects. If anyone who reads my review is about to post one of your own, please comment on whether your stove has the gap issue that causes the top to lean toward the oil filling side. Thank you!

Charming and USEFUL!
I didn’t know what to expect when I picked this thing up. I guess old school charm got the better of me and I went ahead and bought it just based on that, but I’m sure glad I did! I have used the absolute heck out of this cute little stove daily for weeks. I’ve cooked in it, made coffee in a percolate, and used it for heat in my camper van (with a CO alarm, and proper ventilation of course). It’s awesome! I’m thinking about getting another one as a spare or maybe even to use along side the one I already have. It puts out a decent amount of light, enough heat to boil water or heat a small cast iron pan, and there is no detectable odor or smoke if you use it correctly. It’s kind of expensive but for all the use in getting out of it I’d say it’s a great value for the moneys. It’s just so functional, useful, and compact. I’d buy another in a heart beat!
