Wool Ball Holder | Wooden Yarn Holder - Premium Range (Sheesham Wood)

This purchase was for my sister for her birthday. She knits a lot and I found this as a special gift for an avid knitter - it fitted the bill to perfection. This wool ball holder is made of beautiful solid wood and spins easily when in use - she is chuffed to bits with her posh ball holder. It saves her chasing the ball around the floor or the cat getting paws on her wool. I want one now!

The product was satisfactory, I liked the look of the item and the colour of the wood. Unfortunately to use it you have to have it right next to you at the same level for it to turn. If it is on the floor then it will not turn and results in the wool coming off the spindle.

Excellent and beautiful product. Works extremely well with 400 gm balls and the fact that the base is made of two units which must contain bearings makes it run smoothly. The stem is fastened into the base unit allows you to pick it up without coming apart. Well worth the money and waiting to find the right one. Value for money but I could have purchased it direct and saved.

Brilliant! has transformed my Mum's knitting life. No more balls of wool constantly falling on the floor. These spin wonderfullu and can be picked up by the spindle and carried to another room without falling apart. Highly recommend!

Just the job! I’m working on a large heavy yarn at the moment and it even holds this. Finally makes it so much easier as the yarn just reels off as you need it. Would recommend

I bought an excellent one from this seller a year or so ago. This autumn I ordered another that I sadly will be returning because: 1) The pole does not stand vertically straight, as the screw at it's lower end is not put in straight 2) The 2 parts of the base rub / friction against each other, hindering free movement, the main purpose of a yarn butler

I bought this wool holder because it looked more sturdy than the others and had a smooth finish to it and spins quite easily. The downside to it is the yarn if it’s thin get stuck in between where it spins and the dye they have used for the finish was staining my white yarn which was not good. I have to try and wedge tissue in it to clean it. There was a lot of colour coming away on the tissue so I’ve had to stop using it for light coloured yarn. Also I had to sit it on a rubber mat to stop it moving about and falling over. So in the end I’ve just stopped using it.
