Great, but not perfect noise cancelling, and very comfortable.
This is the first apple product I have ever owned. As a long time android user, I was worried that my experience would be sub-par when trying to use an Apple product with a Pixel. They don't work as seamlessly as they likely do on iPhone, but they do still work. That being said, I have some difficulty pausing and unpausing my music with the earphone, and turning the noise cancellation feature on and off requires holding one earbud for a few seconds. It would be easier for me to do that on my phone, but it's not possible with my Pixel. I primarily purchased these to use the active noise cancellation while mowing my lawn. I absolutely cannot stand the rubber earplug type headphones, and previously used a pair of Sennheiser over-the-ear headphones with active noise cancelling to mow my lawn. Those are the gold-standard, but they're very hot to wear in the summer, and the sweat becomes irritating. They also tend to slip off your head when you hit a branch, or bend over. I replaced those with Pixel Bud Pro's. Those sounded great, but the rubber earplug design really irritates my ears, and they are "outside heavy" because of the large bubble that sits outside of your ear. That means they constantly slip out and require adjustment. The sound quality of these is lower than both my Sennheiser and my pixel bud pro's, which both have more bass and higher clarity. That being said, these are MUCH more comfortable for me and didn't require as much re-adjusting as I mowed my lawn. The active noise cancellation works very well, but not as well as either my Sennheiser or my Pixel Buds. That being said, I was able to listen to my podcasts at a reasonable volume while still mowing my lawn, but it did leak more lawnmower sound than either of my other options. One option that's on the Pixel Bud Pro that I miss on these, is the "transparency" option. Pixel Bud Pro's have 3 operating modes. 'Normal' mode, which operates just like any other 'normal' headphone. 'Active Cancellation Mode' which performs the active noise cancellation, and 'Transparency mode' which actually amplifies external frequencies consistent with human voice which makes it easier to have a conversation without removing your earbuds. That missing feature isn't a deal-killer, but it does mean that I have to remove these earbuds when someone wants to talk to me. Overall, even though I'm a Pixel user, knowing what I now know about AirPods 4 and Pixel Buds pro, I can say I prefer the AirPods 4. They're much more comfortable, and the active cancellation is adequate.

Comfortable, compact, and great for noisy work environments
There’s been ongoing construction in my office lately, and these Apple AirPods have been really helpful during the workday. They’re comfortable enough to wear for extended periods and help cut down on distractions so I can focus better. One feature I especially like is being able to track them through the Apple ecosystem if I misplace them. That gives me a little more peace of mind when carrying them between work and home. The charging case is also very compact, which makes it easy to keep in a small purse or tucked into a desk drawer without taking up much space. The earbuds themselves feel high quality, and charging has been fast and convenient so far. Overall, they’ve been reliable for daily use and easy to keep with me throughout the day.

Worth every penny
16 Months In and Still My Everyday Go-To I use these AirPods for literally everything — phone calls, music, podcasts, working around my Airbnb property, camping trips, running errands, you name it. I bought them in December 2024 and they've been in my ears almost daily since. Sound quality is still excellent. Whether I'm listening to music while turning over my Airbnb between guests or taking calls while setting up camp, the audio is clear and crisp. The Active Noise Cancellation is a game changer — when I need to focus, it blocks everything out. And when I need to hear what's going on around me, Transparency Mode switches seamlessly. The USB-C charging case was a huge upgrade. No more hunting for a special cable — I use the same charger for everything. Battery life has held up great even after 16 months of heavy daily use. Comfort-wise, I can wear these for hours without them bothering my ears. They stay put whether I'm cleaning, walking, or out on a trail. Bottom line: If you're looking for wireless earbuds that do it all and actually last, these are it. I've had mine for well over a year of daily use and the sound quality, noise cancellation, and battery are all still performing like day one. Worth every penny.

Great Noise Cancellation
Great quality. Perfect sound. Perfect function. They don’t fit my ears as well as the old AirPods style. They occasionally fall out, so I might not choose these if the old style fit you well. If they fell out often, then these might work better for you. The noise cancellation almost completely blocks out the sound of my lawn mower, like some wizardry. It’s pretty neato poteato. Would recommend.

Absolutely amazing noise cancellation!
My original AirPods were from pre-2020 I think? They were still working technically, but they weren’t really holding a charge anymore and I had replaced the charging unit back in 2021, so it felt like instead of replacing that again maybe it was best to just get a new pair. I can’t even express how IMPRESSED I was with the noise cancellation! It’s honestly amazing coming from someone who has not had noise canceling headphones. The adaptive learning feature is also so cool - there’s several features but I like the one that listen to hear if there’s a conversation going and then it lowers the audio you’re listening to. There’s also a spacial awareness type one to hear what’s going on around you, like you would without noise cancellation. But it’s the noise cancellation that’s the real star of the show. When I was on a plane and I put these in my ears without even listening to anything audio wise, it numbed the sound of the plane so much and made it so quiet it was amazing. They’re small, and light in weight. The quality is just amazing - Apple does it again! They connected with my iPhone Pro 16 so well, instantly. I really can’t say enough positive things they’re worth every dollar.

Higher price but very good quality if you use apple products
I’ve been using the AirPods 4 for a while now across pretty much everything—grocery runs, workouts, and travel—and they’ve been super reliable. The noise cancellation is surprisingly good for how compact they are. It makes a noticeable difference in busy stores or while traveling. One feature I didn’t think I’d care about but now really appreciate is how they handle background noise and conversations. They’ll sometimes bump the volume up when there’s more noise around you, and if I start talking to someone, they lower it automatically. It feels very natural once you get used to it. They’re also exactly what you’d expect if you’re already in the Apple ecosystem—everything just connects instantly and switches between devices without any friction. That alone is a big reason I stick with them. And from a design standpoint, they look and feel great. Only downside for me is that occasionally the noise cancellation can give me a slight headache if I wear them for too long, but it’s not a dealbreaker. They are on the pricier side, but for how seamless they are to use and the overall experience, they’ve been worth it for me.

Not Fit For Everyone
I am not going to knock these down any because they are great. We did returned them because they did not fit into my wife’s ears without falling out. I wore them and they fit me fine. They are larger than your average earbuds which is great for me. The small ones will not stay in my ears. So comfortable and fit will vary individually. Glad Amazon allows return on them. The noise canceling in these are great. You hear nothing with them in, great hearing protection in noisy environments. absolutely amazing features like Conversation Awareness and Language translation. I ended up buying the AirPod Pro 3s instead and my wife liked them better. I personally had wanted the additional heart rate and hearing test features. If these had to additional features I would have not returned.
