Can you use this on dry hair?

Yes - we use it on my 4yo daughters long hair when its dry and tangled before putting her to bed. Her hair is long, never been cut. Its gentler on her hair when taking out tangles etc. Recently washed / conditioned hair will of course be a lot easier than messy hair. But in the latter case, this brush will let us finish the job even on messy hair, when the other brushes that my partner uses would cause a tantrum.
