Does the job.
Great product so far, optimum distance is about 2' however I have sniped at 3' may need a second shot from that distance.

Salt Blaster That Deserves An Award
I have wanted a salt blaster for years but could never justify the cost for the Bug A Salt and didn't want to mess with the dual stage triggers of the Bug Hunter. This blaster, the Bug Slayer, is not only affordable at a fraction of the cost of a Bug A Salt, it does everything they can do, but in a "compact" package. Pros: -Affordable -Just as powerful as the B.A.S. 2.0, if not more so -Aesthetic design is fun to behold -Pistol grip, foregrip and slide-cocking mechanism all have an excellent diamond grip pattern for ease of handling -Effective killing range for bugs is 0-4 feet -Effective stun range for bugs is 3-10 feet -Can disrupt the flight of flies up to 15 feet away from my tests Cons: -It sold out of stock before I could buy one for every adult in my family This blaster is an excellent deal and does exactly what it was designed to do, in style! I'd recommend this wholeheartedly to anyone with a pest problem. I've had mine for 24 hours and have already sent a dozen roaches to heaven.

Works great for much less than the original salt gun.
I got tired of spending $50 for the original salt gun after two of them broke on me. I found this and gave it a try. It works great. It will dry-fire every once in a while, but so does the original one, so it is what it is. Great option for 1/2 the price!

Not powerful
Fun but not very strong.

Very weak insect unaliver
This is not a substitute for the original bug salt guns. I purchased because of the price and regrettably wasted my money. It is barely strong enough to knock a fly out. It is weak and does not put out enough salt to DP any flies. Spend the extra bread and get the bug a salt.

Go for flies, no go for wasps and moths
It wouldn't penetrate a hornet's shell but works fine against normal flies. You have to get pretty close though, within a few inches at most. Wouldn't recommend shooting moths with this... I made that mistake once and pulverized moth parts went drifting all over the room. I also put a piece of duct tape on the safety so it never disengages
