Angie Lewin incredible print artist
The book illustrates her sketches and prints. Angie Lewin distills nature to simple yet complex shapes and then makes incredible prints. This book is wonderful.

Such beautiful plants!
This is my favorite new book. I saw Angie Lewin's wonderful Salthouse poster reproduced in a blog about British art, and checked Amazon to see if there was a book about her. Voila! This Norfolk artist and printmaker works from the native plants and weeds, along with a few insects and bird feathers, in her home county and other parts of Britain to produce precise and detailed watercolors and engravings which are extremely modern in their abstraction yet obviously firmly in the tradition of between-the-wars British illustration and design. It is her ability to discern the beauty in the homely that charms and delights. Anyone who loves nature, art or design should love this book; it will make you happy!

Beautiful, inspiring, and worth it!
Bought this as it was recommended on Martha Stewart's LIVING website, I have looked through it online prior to purchasing it, and I am so happy with it. The images are so beautiful and I love reading about the design development of each piece. I am especially inspired to learn new craft techniques by reading about the block press printing process. This is a great book and I recommend it to anyone that sees the cover and is drawn to the image.

Delightful
I discovered this book along with Mark Hearld's Workbook through Amazon's "customers also bought..." as I was looking for printmaking artists. There is plenty of imagery to feast the eyes on as well Lewin's own commentary. She is an incredibly talented as well as prolific artist whose work easily appeals with color and pattern. Her images, reminiscent of but not slavish to mid-century graphic design, transfer well to textiles and home décor. I am very impressed by her craftsmanship.

Beautiful!
A beautiful book that doesn't disappoint at all for any fans of Angie Lewin. There are heaps of lovely images and inspiring descriptions of how Angie creates her prints from spending time sketching in her natural surrounds. For those of us who can't afford a real Angie Lewin print just yet, this is a very good substitute!Wonderful.

Beautiful
This is one of the most beautiful of coffee table books. Angie Lewins prints are gorgeous and this book shows so many it would be hard to choose a favourite. Beautiful to look at - good quality paper - one I will dip into often. I work with textiles and this book is very inspirational - I can see many of the ideas translating to fabric whilst still working in my own style. As other have said it doesnt go deeply into Angies working methods but if you are a printmaker there is plenty I would say. If you are not a printmaker - buy it anyway - its a truly beautiful book.

Queen of the wild flowers
I have admired Angie Lewin's work for many years. I "discovered" her first through her greeting cards, and then some time later I saw her beautiful prints at various exhibitions. This book is fantastic; a wonderful showcase of her amazing work. Whenever and wherever I see certain wild flowers that appear in Angie's work, I always think of them as "Angie Lewin flowers"... I strongly recommend this book to anybody. It doesn't just sit on my shelf, this book is very much loved, and looked at very frequently...

Must have for relief printers - or would be printers.......
For anyone who has interest in Angie Lewin's work this is a must have. Page after page of her finished works and processes. However, if you're unfamiliar with this artist's work but have an interest in relief/lino printing you will also find this book informative. Please note this is not a "how to" book. There are no instructions. Think coffee table book at its very best.

A beautiful book.
I love Angie Lewin's work and for a birthday present I was treated to a print of her work by my husband. I was delighted to find that there was a book about Angie Lewin and her work.I bought one for my friend and one for myself and the pottery group I run as we often look at Angie's work for inspiration when decorating our work. This book is beautifully illustrated showing many pieces of her work and her inspiration for them. It has some of her drawings too and how she has created her prints. It is a delight to dip in and out of. The quality of the paper and the illustrations give you a sense of dipping into her creative world and it inspires me. Amazing book for the price.
