Ordering this was a mistake
It arrived. It is small but it doesn't hardly push any water. The tiniest ripples are at the top of my tank. The fish that love to swim in a current are essentially ignoring it. When I turn on my other wave maker they come running to swim. In the current it does make noise. I had to pluck it a couple times while I was in the water so that the fan could settle properly and now it's actually silent but it just does not push 800 gallons per hour like it promises. This is useless. I need to return it immediately and purchase another one of the same unit I already have. It lacks power. The suction cup actually works very well

Purchased It Twice
This was a useful addition to our first aquarium - not too powerful and allowed the Betta to swim comfortably in a tank with comfort. It also served the purpose to keep the water flowing in a healthy manner for the other occupants. We liked it so much, we had to have another for our second aquarium.

I can't hear them at all!
Great cheap pump for general aquarium utility uses. Mixing salt, warming up and aerating saltwater for changes, circulation pump for a 10 gallon frag tank, keeping my Brute container of RO water moving in storage. I have 2 units and both are super quiet. It's quieter than my HOB filters, some ACs and a Tidal. I instantly hear when I unplug those HOBS. If this little Pawfly pump is unplugged, I have no clue unless I look at the water. I don't think that they test these pumps before they package them. Before plugging them in, make sure that the rotor is spinning freely and don't start it dry because it can crack the magnet while it bounces around. My rotor was stuck when I plugged it in the first time, but I unplugged it, unstuck the rotor with a pen, and plugged it back in and it was perfect. Good water flow for the size and power consumption.

When I first plugged it in, i don’t think it was capable of doing even 100 gph lol. But as another review said, I took the impeller out and put it back on and off a few times and now it has amazing flow. A bit of an unbalanced sound to it but may just need time to break in a bit. Edit: I have had these since July 2025. Which is 4 months. With maintenance and observation, they are still performing as new. For the price, I can't see how these can be beat. For what I paid, these are a 10 star product. Honestly I think they will last a few years minimum. These are literally one of the most inexpensive best products I've ever bought for my reef tank. So far so good. Will update review later based on longevity. 4stars for now as I don’t know how long it will last. But if it lasts a couple of years, it would be a 4.5 to 5 star given the price paid Edit 2025.11.23 They are still performing strong with no sign of any issues. My review is now 5 stars and it stands. For the price, you literally can't beat their performance/price paid

I really like this, most are a lot more expensive. Sometimes, after a water change, it will make a loud noise. You just shake it a little, and it is back to normal. For the price it doesn't bother me at all.

This is a GREAT little wavemaker for the price. I've had it in my saltwater aquarium since mid February and have had no issues, no signs of corrosion. It comes apart easily to clean, and the flow is adjustable. The suction cup sticks well to the glass. It does slow down a bit when there's detritus buildup but that's common with any wavemaker. Would purchase again!

Absolute crap. Already broken and cannot stick to glass. I guess I got what I paid for. I should’ve known better

Works as described. Very quiet. Adjustment works. I'm considering buying a second one for backup. My fish are not bothered by it at all. I have Congo's and Oto's in a 75 g. I'm using it just under the surface of the water to produce a soft ripple across the surface to help with air/gas exchange without it affecting floating plants.
