Can you keep the butterflies in your home through the winter?

After they hatch you need to release them within a few days. You keep them inside during the hatching process. I think the temp they said was 50s when you release them. I am sorry I no longer have the directions. The entire life cycle is only several weeks so if you do not release the butterflies they will lay eggs and you will need to feed the caterpillars and so the whole thing again. Hope this helps.

Do you get vouchers for 2 cups of caterpillars or one cup? The picture of the box says 2 cups, but the amazon description says one cup.

We got one cup for the habitat we ordered and that was what I expected. I looked at the box in the current description and I can tell you that is not the same picture that I saw when we ordered it; perhaps an incorrect photo was put in as I ordered this in 2016. All five of the caterpillars we got survived and underwent their metamorphosis into butterflies, it was very interesting and fun to do this.
