The texture, flavor, and graininess of TruNativ is the closest thing I've found to real cane sugar. One of the ways I'm using it is with ginger candy. I slice fresh ginger into quarter-inch-thick slices, boil them, then coat them in TruNativ before drying/dehydrating (I also use it to sweeten the leftover syrup, which I use in tea and over ice cream). They come out awesome. Some artificial sweeteners have a weird aftertaste, or they are overly sweet, and that's not the case for TruNative.
