Awesome Exercise Machine
I bought this through Amazon 3 months ago - delivery was exactly as expected, no surprises. It did come bound to a pallet so it had to be dropped off in the garage until it could be uncrated. My wife and I easily uncrated it in about 5 minutes. I called my brother-in-law and three of us carried it inside without any problem. Two men could probably handle it, but the end with the flywheel is pretty heavy so three are recommended. Once in the house it took me about 30-40 minutes to assemble the pieces, very simple with tools supplied. Also, it took a few minutes to get the arm bars set, finding the right comfort range was not hard but it took a little trial and error to make sure a setting felt right for each user. The seat movement is smooth and locks securely - excellent design that accommodates a wide range of heights. My wife is 5'-0" (ok, 4'-11") and she uses position #5 - still room for people with shorter legs than her. I'm 5'-9" and I use position 10 - there are 15 positions so I'm sure most 6 footers would be well supported by this machine as well. The bike itself is very smooth and quiet in operation. I have an H2 heart rate sensor and it works perfectly with the system - nothing to set up, it just automagically recognizes the sensor and displays your heart rate. There are a number of different routines built into the system - each divided into 20 segments. So if you choose a 20 minute ride, each segment lasts one minute - a 60 minute ride allows segments lasting 3 minutes. Each segment can have a different hardness setting. It doesn't take long at middling hardness settings (9 to 11 range) to get my heart beating well. I'm sure at the highest hardness levels any Olympian would get a good workout. Great machine, very comfortable, a lot of diversity to keep the workouts varied and interesting. My wife and I are very happy with this purchase!

Great machine
Was very happy the machine was delivered on time and unloaded to the garage for safe keeping until we could get it into the house. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 was because it did not come with any assembly instructions. I was able to download instructions from the HCI web site but the parts that were given in the box were slightly different. My husband and I were able to figure it out and finish the assembly. That said, this is a very solid machine and works very well. Gives a good safe workout for those with joint-knee problems such as myself. The machine is large so plan ahead and measure your doorways before you bring it in the house. We had to remove the door to get it in. It is large but certainly not as large as similar machines you find at the gym. I am happy with the purchase and can now workout effectively at home at my convenience.

It does not have a self propelled peddling assist option on the control pad which is the reason I purchased it to begin with.
The RXT PhysioStep 1000 Recumbent Elliptical Trainer is the perfect excersize equipment that I thought it would get my life and physical strength back because I have a disability called Parkinsonism disease named Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and two failed left knee surgeries that has my ability to exercise limited until now. The RXT 1000 is very smooth and it operates very nicely but it appears that it doesn’t come the controls to fit my personal requirements. Because it is recumbent but also I thought it would complete body building experience because it was supposed to have a type of magnetic power that would allow me to use the movement without my having to use my strength to keep peddling that will keep from falling that also made my physical therapist and my family very pleased

HCI Fitness PhysioStep RXT-1000 Recumbent Elliptical Trainer
My husband (81) was recently hospitalized due to COPD complications and then completed an exercise therapy program. Because their location is quite a distance from us we needed an equivalent exercise machine at our home. He had been using a NuStep recumbent elliptical at the therapy center but that was too expensive for us. After much research on the internet and conferring with his physical therapist, we bought the PhysioStep RXT-1000 and we both have been using it for three weeks. My health is fine but I hope it will help me lose weight, stay in shape and it will be nice to be able to exercise indoors this winter. We took it from the delivery freight truck into the back of our truck as we live remote and didn't expect them to travel the last very rough five miles up to our homestead. The box was opened in the yard and a strong neighbor moved it into the house using our ramp and a dolly. Another lady and I assembled it easily and had it up and in use in an hour or less. It is well-built and heavy but has wheels on the back end to easily move it when needing to vacuum around and under it. The screen is bright with large print, it's quiet so listening to and watching TV while I exercise is fine. I like that it doesn't need to be plugged into electricity as the screen is lit by four small batteries (included). Being a recumbent, it's comfortable to use, is easy on my senior knees and quick to adjust when my husband uses it. My only minor frustration is that I haven't found a place to conveniently store my water bottle while I exercise. Hmmmmm ..... After re-reading the specs, I see it says there IS storage for a water bottle. I'll give them a call ...

Works well for my husband.
I purchased this machine for my husband for rehab and exercise. He has Parkinson's and moving is important for his continued mobility. I would have rated it higher, but the electornics are a little hard to use. I have set it up for both of us and it keeps going back to the beginning and I have to reset it each time we use it. Could be user error or not. Good ajustability on seat and arm pieces. Can pedal forward or reverse.
