I originally got these Colored Masking Tapes for one very practical purpose: holding my journal stencils in place so they would stop sliding around like they were actively trying to sabotage me. I had to buy a whole new journal after ruining most of mine with sliding stencils. Well. That was apparently just the beginning when it comes to these tapes. They're beyond useful. I've started incorporating them into my journal decorations, using them to build little frames and boxes in my planner, and because apparently there are no rules anymore, even using them while doing my eye makeup. At this point, these little rolls of tape have worked their way into so many random parts of my life that I'm starting to wonder what can't be improved with a strategically placed piece of colorful masking tape. The thickness and stickiness is just about perfect. It adheres well enough to stay exactly where I put it, but it hasn't been ripping up my paper when I remove it. It removes super easy. Which is important because nothing ruins a beautiful planner spread quite like peeling back the tape and accidentally taking half the page with you. I've had great success using it to make little boxes, borders, and frames in my planner, and the colors are perfect for adding a little extra personality without committing to something permanent. Basically, I bought these to hold stencils down, and now I'm out here decorating journals, organizing planners, doing eye makeup, and looking for new things to tape. Five stars. Would absolutely enable this new obsession again.

Bought this to keep our 8 month-old grandson occupied on a four-hour flight. It was sticky, it didn’t leave a residue and the colors are fun! Easy removability, high visibility and the size was just right for his tiny fingers. It would probably be great for actually painting too.

The colors are bright and the tape is easy to use for all different kinds of activities. We used it to hone fine motor skills, for art projects, for sorting and matching games. You can find wonderful ideas on Pinterest. This was a great buy.

The only drawback is that it doesn’t stick well to nonsmooth or textured surfaces. We noticed it struggles to stay in place on things like Lifetime plastic table tops or other slick, textured surfaces. On paper, smooth tables, and most craft materials it works just fine. Overall, this is a great set of colorful tape for kids, school projects, and organizing or labeling. Just keep in mind it works best on smooth surfaces.

This tape is truly a lifesaver. It's durable, adheres well, easy to write on, and the perfect size. I was wiring up some lights on my car and losing track of the polarity and purpose of wires is easy when it isn't just red and black. I used both your standard ballpoint pen and a sharpie with this tape, and it never smudged or gave me any trouble. Having 8 colors to choose from is extremely helpful because in my case, I had a bundle of wires to deal with. When I needed to cut wires with faded insulation or impossible to see stripes, I labeled the loose ends with matching colors which made hooking everything back up a breeze. It worked great to help me keep track of which wires went where so I didn't have to constantly reference the schematics. For example, I knew the left turn signal wires were marked with purple tape. It was durable enough to handle heat and grime without leaving a sticky residue as the project was spread out over a few days. There were some pieces I had written on that remained in the elements, and the writing was still clear, it was still sticky, and the color didn't fade. That was just my personal use for it. If it can handle what I was using it for, you'll have no problem using it indoors for identifying boxes or possessions. I wish I had picked some up sooner!

Loved the color vibrancy of Tape. But tape is narrow and thin.

I bought these for moving boxes and used each color for a separate location (Bathroom/Kitchen/living room...) They worked well for that. Now that I am moved, I continue to use them for notes to myself such as Garage is open, Trash out for pickup the night before. They are reusable due to not being as sticky as other tapes. Now, I do have other "painter's tapes with various levels of stickiness, and these tend to fall into the less sticky category which makes them good for masking painted surfaces or treated surfaces and less likely to take peel off the surface when you remove them. In my case they work very well and are easily writable with Sharpies, or ball-point pens, or fine-pointed drafting-style permanent markers. I will keep these in stock and you can also use them for labeling foods for potlucks or leaving notes for people.
