I found a way to flip the waistband inward and down when I don't want it to be quite so high rise -- like if I'm trying to get more of a tan while I'm out -- and it doesn't look weird. I'm 5'4" 39-28-39; size 6 in jeans and I purchased a medium. Some people might want a tighter fit for actual swimming, but I'm using mine for paddle boarding so I don't mind if its not tight tight (it's not falling off, either -- just a nice comfortable fit.) But yes, potentially could have gotten a small. The only thing I wish for is a version without the white piping. It's cute and sporty but doesn't match my top that well. It's ok though. I like the skirt enough that I might buy a new top that is more of a style match for it.

Extremely flattering swim-skort! I ordered two! I am 5'7" and 120 pounds; size small was a great fit. It's comfortable and well made. Only thing is the fabric is a bit thick.

Great Forming Fit
LOVE these swim skirts, Bought two in white and black. I'm very picky and do not like the skirts to flare out. This is more form fitting which believe it or not looks good on every body type. For reference I am 5'2-151lbs. I carry my weight in the tummy area. Ordered both the small and medium which I kept both because I didn't see much difference. Usually wear a 6-8 in all bottoms. Fabric is great and I've had no issues with fading after beach and pool outings.

Fades Fast
Looks & fits according to size but fades terribly in the pool after 1 week.

Love this skirt!
Perfect coverage if you want to show a small amount of tummy, it goes just above the belly button on me, Iโm 5โ4โ. Will look cute with a crop top, swim suit, etc. Shape is adorable. True to size. The navy color is exactly as youโd think.
