nice entry level scoot
nice little scooter for the price. no issues really, but you get what you pay for. i max out at about 20MPH. battery life seems to drain quick at times but i understand that its condition- dependent. overall its a nice little thing to have in my small town, especially not having a license. i can finally run to the gas station or small corner store down the way. it folds down which is nice, but it’s heavy so don’t expect to carry it long distances. the suspension is nice and one of the reasons i chose this one over the others. the app is nice and i like the ability to turn eco mode on and off. overall it’s nice little entry scooter into the life of electric scooter and bikes. it’s only been about a month or so and i’m already looking to upgrade though.

Nice speed, well made and nice features
It works great, nice speed and super happy with the purchase. It's well made. I have not tried riding it too far, but the battery seems to be enough for short rides around my neighborhood. KIds also love it. The 3 modes help with having different setup for me, the bug kids and small kids to ride without having to make special setup thru the app each time. It recharges itself pretty well as well. If I ride it for a few minutes and then go downhill for a minute, it charges all the way up to 100%.

Arrived dead, never charged - 4 months later, still no refund
Ordered 6 May 2026. It has never powered on and has never taken a charge. We left it on the charger for a full month and nothing happened. It has never been ridden once and has sat in its box since the day it arrived. The charging cable is also poorly designed and slips off easily while charging. It is now four months later and I still have a dead scooter and no refund. I have been in contact with Amazon about this since 11 August: more than forty separate contacts, at least fifteen different associates, and four written approvals of a $324.97 refund that has never actually been paid. No replacement, no collection, no money back. Amazon has confirmed in writing on four occasions that my card issuer has already repaid Amazon for this order, and I was charged for it as well. I could not return it inside the 30-day window because my accounts were compromised and I spent roughly two months on security remediation, followed by travel. That does not change the fact that the unit was defective on arrival and is still within the manufacturer's warranty. Buy this only if you are prepared to lose the money should it arrive broken. Mine did, and getting it back has taken four months and counting.

Half a year, and onto a full.
It definitely feels premium for the size and price, but with experience with other scooters in this price point/size it does feel a little underwhelming in the acceleration and top speeds, but other than that. It feels amazing to ride along, very shock absorbent compared to other scooters this size and price. It looks great, the build quality and parts quality is a lot higher than something you'd find from a generic scooter manufacturer. If you're into scooters you already know the batteries and controller are top of the line. Which is typically most important for long term usability. So far I've had it about half a year and still havent noticed any battery degradation. I've had other models loose roughly 20-30% by this time of use, so its holding together incredibly. Speeds are the same, distance is the same. I recommend using the battery saving mode and only charge to 80 or 90 on typical rides, only use 100% if you absolutely need that extra distance and it will really help maintain it for years to come. Only reason its a 4 and not 5 is the lackluster power and torque for being a "hill climber" but to be fair, I am 235 pounds. So Im sure someone 50-60 pounds lighter would have a much better experience in that category. So keep that in mind too.

Amazing build quality, feature full.
I’ve owned a few scooters before, including Segways and Gotrax, and I’m happy to share my thoughts. This scooter is definitely a 5-star! It’s a great value for the price, around $400. I’ll go over the pros and cons, focusing on what’s great for this price range. PROS: - It’s very well-built, just like a Segway. It’s way better than a Gotrax. - You don’t have to assemble it. - The features are pretty good, but most other scooters online only have a few of these: (1) Large pneumatic tires, (2) dual braking (regenerative and drum), (3) brake light, front light, turn signal, (4) front suspension, (5) a great app to change settings and lock. (6) foldable handles - It has a small turn radius compared to Segways and Gotrax. - The handles are very tall, at 48 inches. This is the first scooter I’ve ever filled that’s the right handle height for me, being 5’10”. Quote seriously, one of the tallest scooters for under 1000. - The handles are wide because they can fold. - Great app. You can customize the regeneration, acceleration, and top speed in the app. You can also have a custom mode you can switch to by pressing the power button. CONS: - There’s no easy way to get around small obstacles like stairs. There’s no handle hook or quick folding. And it’s almost 40 lbs, which is pretty heavy. - nitpick: there’s no place to hang a bag. Often there’s a hook. - Bluetooth is a bit unstable. and you need it to unlock the scooter. (5 seoncds hold on the ower button locks the schooter) - The app is not as polished as the Segway app. Segway allows you to do more things to your scooter. - The front suspension is a bit short, I think it has only 15mm stroke. So it’s more of a gimmick. All in all. greatly recommended.

Its disappointing - some issues - go with a different company
I’m a student who chose to spend the price of a semester of parking for this e-scooter .This was my first electric scooter and after a few months of everyday ish use (mon-thu) , here’s my experience with the niu 100f : - Since it folds, it fits in my trunk (18 accord) and I’m able to take it into some restaurants if it’s not very busy and fold it /place it under the table since there’s hardly any bike racks near them. It’s pretty fast to fold and unfold - Charging doesn’t take that long , I leave it charging overnight and it’s always 100% by the morning - I sometimes stay late and have to drive back to my car and the front lamp does illuminate the sidewalk enough to see the path and the blinkers are very helpful as to be seen when making a left turn in the left lane. It has a brake light too . - my campus is near a lot of restaurants / fast food places and I’ve found it very convenient that I don’t have to go to my car, wait 10 min in traffic just to drive around the campus , find a spot , eat, drive back and park again and walk all the way back to my hangout spot , when I can just go on the scooter, eat there and drive back to my spot , no waiting in traffic nor looking for a good parking spot just quick go and back . - the brake feels good, although I don’t use it much but instead the regen / off throttle - the “18” mile of range is not close to what I would get on a single charge . I pretty much only use the Sport mode since using eco feels so sloww. And with it , I’d get around 2.5-3.5 miles before the battery would get to around 50%. Which for me was like 4 0.7mile trips (kinda flat terrain) . Using eco mode limits you to like 9 mph which is when you’d get closer to the 18 mile range. If you drive on eco , not much of an issue. - the display /screen is a SCRATCH magnet . And the buttons are cheap. Since the handles fold , the screen is the point of contact with the ground on its side. My FIRST time I took it, I made the mistake of laying it on the screen side in my trunk and when I took it out, the screen and buttons where scratched / worn from sliding around. I ONLY lay it on the bell side now . - if you have to carry something big /bulky , it’s really bad since you need BOTH hands on the bar or else you fall . I have a reusable bag with me in case a situation like that arrises . Walking is the best solution in my case - I parked the scooter on my campuses bike/scooter racks, and sometimes when I power it on after unracking it, I’d get an error 02! And it would not let me use it . I believe it’s cause the tire fits in between the poles where the tires are supposed to go and so it rests on the brake lever next to the tire. The only way to get rid of the fault code for me was either waiting a while or moving the scooter back and forth white squeezing the brake . - Didn’t come with a phone mount so you have to buy one for like 25$ -You need an app in order to change some settings of the scooter like turning off kick to start - only solid place to secure a lock is in between the two holes at the base of the stem - I have had it overheat / lock me out due to driving it on grass 3-4 inch tall I haven’t had any BAD issues but just some that could be fixed . I don’t regret purchasing this scooter and actually wish I’d gotten one sooner instead of paying 550 a year in parking passes. It’s not perfect but not bad either . 6 Month update (8/26/26) : I've had the scooted for about 6 months, it was in storage for around 3 because of the summer break however there have been even more issues . - Since im unable to lay it on the screen side when folded, I would lay it on the bell side but one day after parking , I pulled it out and the bell had snapped off. There are 2 thin sections of plastic holding the bell and its attached to the brake as one whole piece so no easy way to fix it . This makes it to where theres no where reliable to lay it, only to keep it upright which isn't easy - First day of classes and I was riding back to my car when I hit a small bump and BAM it just here hissing and a flap flap flap noise. The rear wheel was flat and when I tried filling it with air, air leaks out the stem . So now I have to contact their support and it's not easy to find their support page or where to contact them. I'll update how it goes. - After so many issues within 6 months of owning it and for spending close to 300$ , I would not recommend this product. IF their support is excellent then it would be better but I've seen so many other reviews where they don't reply or help at all. There are so many bad designs on this that for a nice experience I'd say to go with a different company with good products and customer service.

Amazing Value
The Niu kqi 100f is an extremely high value scooter for the price. You get a high quality ride (as good as can be without proper suspension), the speed is more than adequate and so is the acceleration. Portability is great, when it folds it becomes quite small and slim due to the foldable handlebars. The dimensions are optimal for the average adult rider, also suitable for a younger riding who is still learning. App integration is great, you can keep track and control of all your Niu scooters with ease. Things like ride mileage, your speed modes and acceleration/max speed can be all monitored through the app which is easy to set up and connect to the scooter. Headlight is bright for night riding

Excellent Warranty if anything goes wrong!
I’m giving this product and Mainly the company 5 stars, I purchased 2 of these scooters for Christmas for both of my sons. They both get used a lot but one of the scooters main body split at the front forks just out of the blue. I contacted the company and they responded very quickly and were very helpful, I had to send the scooter to one of their repair facilities to be evaluated and they sent me a brand new scooter, no questions asked. Make sure you keep the box that they come in , thankfully I did and made it a lot easier to send back and they provided the shipping label to send it back.
