Just received, just installed : I have a large deck and wanted to see everywhere but keep the light softer than direct house bulbs or spotlights, found these strips. The 50 ft easily spanned my 16x30 deck, with a few feet taken off at the end for the plug part of the cord. There is a groove set under my handrail and, at the suggestion of another review, I opted for warm white AND turned them up. The deck ambiance is beautiful ! Now, since I got two of the 50 ft strips, the second was lined down the stair handrail and pointed out....POW ! No kidding these are bright ! Total proof I need to pressure wash LOL. The lights went all the way down my stairs to the ground and had enough left over to lay (facing out) across a low brick wall. You can see everything in my back yard now, even the barn glows 60 ft across the grass. My pup appreciates it definitely! Tech Aspects : These strips (not ropes) are thick, made for the outdoors for sure and were really easy to install with the supplied clips, end caps and plugs. BUT here are a couple things to think about and the manufacturer/supplier should as well....because mine are hanging down, I got another set of same style clips {100 Pack LED Strip Light Mounting Brackets, Silicon Fixed Clips with 200 Screws Included (Ideal for 10mm Wide IP67/68 Waterproof Strip Lights)}. You will need supplemental support for the weight of these strips, package came with 25/30. These others are a little softer and are a l'il more stretchy than the original but worked fine... maybe you can find something closer to original. ALSO, The 1/4" screws supplied with these strip lights don't have enough "bite" for the clips & what you're screwing into, use 3/8" at least. Luckily, my supplemental purchase for the additional mounts had the perfect size & I used them for all mounts. The Plugs are not grounded (3 prong) so I would suggest some sort of cover for where they meet your power source. I've tucked mine under the handrail and have them wrapped in heavy painter plastic and clipped them inside an outlet cover box (but hey, that's me). Future Thoughts : I'm hoping that these last a good while because (a) they're pretty and (b) it's a buggar bending over and setting them under a handrail BUT they're thicker than other outdoor lights I've had in the past, so that's a point in favor AND these are reasonably enough priced that I would not have a problem purchasing them again, even with the notes above. .

I thought I would try this out for Christmas Decorations. As you can see I did all the ridge line, walkway and tree wrapping with the rope light. I also made this star using a little over 100’ of the rope. Love the brightness of the light. It really makes a bold statement. Because of the price and a couple other reviews, I do have a little concern about the longevity of the product. But considering I am just using it seasonally I think it will be fine. For the most part it is extremely easy to work with. It is very flexible and easy to make turns and corners. Honestly the only con I would give it is when I was making the star, I would have to pull about 10’ to 15’ at a time and the rope would become extremely twisted and difficult, I eventually ended up taking the rope completely off the wheel and allowing it to unwind itself. When doing the decorations it was much easier to work with. Overall at this point I am very impressed and happy with the product and highly recommend it.

I bought a second one because the first did what I needed. The light is very bright and illuminates the entire driveway from the house. Issues are: (1) the fuse had burned out on one of the two plugs. (out of the box) So I could only light up the one section I cut. Hopefully the second one has both plugs working so I can use one for the cut piece. (2) it is not that easy to install in my situation. The soffits are vinyl, so it is not clear that the tiny screws supplied would work. And the walls are cement board, which is notoriously hard to fix anything to. My solution was to fix it with staples. But this is risky. A better solution would be a vinyl runner that can be installed, and the lights clipped into the runner. Also would make it water to keep a straight line. As lone as the plug/connector is properly sealed this should be waterproof. Mine hangs under a soffit and is not an issue. Overall I am very pleased with the cost effectiveness for lighting my driveway from the house.

I have done several low voltage strip lights installs in my yard over the last 15 years, these are the best. In past installs I would buy a separate 12 volt transformers and at times be limited on how far in feet I could run a strand of lights. While they say 16.4 feet is the max, I have soldered some together to get 32 feet but that is pushing it. With these 110 volt lights, distance and separate transformers are no longer an issue. With this 150ft roll/coil, you also get TWO standard 110 volt plugins that can power separate strands. Example 1 50ft and 1 100ft strands could be created from the 150 ft roll. If you want 3 or more strands you need to buy more 110 volt plugins (at $20 apiece - search Amazon for: ASIN B07DHKZSH9). These 110 volt plugins appear to have a built in voltage reducer that is about an inch square. I assume (but not sure) that this knocks the voltage down to 24 volts or more??? Do note that there is no adhesive on the back of these strip lights. Most 16.4 strands of led lights you find have a sticky back, these do not. With that said, I always found that adhesive to be worthless for long term use. When installing my lights outdoors I always use "E6000 glue" (best glue ever and something every DYIer should have in their tool box, it is clear, waterproof and last for years). These lights are dimmable but the common 12 volt dimmer that comes with other brands does not work here since the input is 110 volts. I tried to find an outdoor dimmer that I could plug the 2 prong 110 volt plugin into but they all had major drawbacks, mostly not remembering the dimmer setting when the dusk-to-dawn timer turns the lights off. I ended up buying this indoor nightstand dimmer ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DL7V3CM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details ) and putting it into a waterproof box on the side of my house with the dusk-to-dawn timers. Have fun, it is worth the effort!

I really want to give these lights 5 stars. They are sturdy, install easily, are bright and beautiful. But in less that a year, sections are not lit (look closely at my picture). We used these lights on the fencing around our deck. I am going to have to look for a different brand and hope they are more durable. We are in Florida with humidity and hot sun, so that does not help the situation.

When I bought these lights I thought they were little expensive however after easy installation found that they are by far the best light I have ever bought they are so bright my wife loves them the wonderful glow from the snow is fantastic very great light
