ONE-TOUCH COOKING: Simply fill up the measuring cup to your desired water level, choosing between soft, medium or hard boiled, turn it on and within minutes the alarm will let you know that breakfast is served! 14-XXL CAPACITY: Each egg tray allows you to cook up to 7 large eggs at a time, delivering healthy, consistent results the way you like it EGG-CELENT RECIPES: This egg cooker can make a variety of eggs such as soft, medium or hard-boiled eggs, egg whites, poached eggs, scrambled eggs, omelets, various salads, deviled eggs, egg sandwiches - and can even be used to steam vegetables and dumplings! The perfect dish for any breakfast, dinner party or special event CLASSIC RETRO DESIGN: This unit has a retro look that features an LED-lighted Power Gauge on the front that lets you know when the unit is ready to start and when it's running, as well as a sleek-chrome ON/OFF lever on the side COOL-TOUCH HANDLES: Keep your hands safe with the cool-touch handles, allowing you to open and close the lid without burning yourself Review: Uses More power than stated in the manual - First - it does exactly what it says - it cooks eggs very efficiently and quickly. I do think the Dash round top 7 egg model works better and comes with a tray rather than the egg bites that doesn't hold a whole egg. That said, it works well and can cook 14 eggs at a time, which works perfectly for making deviled eggs for church. Problem: It's not as easy to clean because it's square. It doesn't go back together that well as a single organized piece. In other words it's a little clunky. The biggest issue for some is that it uses more power than stated in the manual of 350 watts. It actually uses 372 watts as measured by my killawatt meter, about a 7% increase. This could be a problem for those that are on a strict budget of power such as running off a generator. Also, for those who state it keeps cooking after the buzzer goes off, and it must be switched off, is not true. The element does shut off when the alarm activates. It does still keep cooking because of the steam and existing heat, but not because the element is on. Review: The perfect boiled egg cooker, whether you want one, or for a bunch for recipes! - I love hard-boiled eggs and I use them in several recipes, too. However, I always dreaded pulling out my large pot to boil them and always had trouble getting the hot eggs out of the pan once done without dropping some or splashing water everywhere. This little egg cooker has changed my life! I love that it will cook a large amount of eggs at one time (up to 14 - plenty for me to make a platter of deviled eggs for a large crowd), and the measuring cup for the water has markers for how much to use if you like to make soft- or medium-boiled eggs, too! Coupled with the piercing tool on the bottom of the measuring cup that helps to pierce the big end of the egg to help with even cooking and to ease the peeling process when done, this device has it all! The alarm that goes off when the eggs are done is a little piercing and it will not stop until you turn off the device, but that's not a problem for me. It's easy to wipe down once the eggs are removed and I will occasionally run water over the base on the cooking surface (taking care to keep the electrical cord out of the water) but it's not that necessary. The best part for me is that if I only want to hard-boil 1 egg for my breakfast, I can do it easily with this cooker and not have to worry about looking up cooking times or anything. You just fill the cup for whether you have one or two levels of eggs and for your preference of cooking density. I love it so much, and the retro look is so cute!

The best I’ve ever had
OMGOSH…..I don’t do reviews, but this product earned it. I cook a lot of hard boiled eggs. I had a egg cooker that only cooked 6 at a time…it ended up being a lot of work and took a lot of time, so I started looking for an egg cooker that would do 14 eggs at a time. I ordered 3 different egg cookers and had to send them back. They didn’t cook the eggs properly. They were very flimsy and the trays warped. You couldn’t fit large eggs in them. I was totally frustrated and ready to give up and just make do with my old one, when I saw the Nostalgia CLEC14AQ…..and ordered it. I put the name brand on here because sometimes these post have reviews and they aren’t for the right product…. I absolutely love this egg cooker. It cooks perfectly, holds the largest eggs you can find. It easy to clean and so simple to use. Its one of the best made I’ve ever used. Very sturdy. I did see on some other views that people didn’t like the loud buzzer. I loved it. I use to have to sit right on top of my other egg cooker to hear it. I can hear this buzzer even if I’m not in the same room. I am a real person…I have had no contact with anyone who has paid me or asked me for a review. I just wanted to help people out to find a good product….because lately I have been getting a bunch of really faulty, cheaply made, bad products that I have to sent back. It’s very frustrating. It’s so nice to find a well made product that works the way it’s suppose to.

You have to experiment with water levels, measuring cup is terrible
I got this for my sister for Christmas. I set it up and tested it for her as part of the gift. You probably know how it works but if not, you fill it with a certain amount of water, and when the water all cooks off the machine buzzes. So more water means longer cook time. A little bit of water makes a drastic difference, like 10ml adds over 5 min of cook time. The measuring cup was very difficult for me to use and it's not marked with milliliters. It just says "hard boiled" etc. On top of that, maybe the device wasn't level, because only a little part of the heating plate was dry and the buzzer went off, so there was like 5+ ml of water remaining in the bottom. All this to say, I followed the directions for 7 hard boiled eggs but they didn't cook long enough to be fully hard boiled (centers were soft and orange) because the machine turned off before all the water was gone. I followed the instruction book so I didn't realize that I should check the eggs before dropping them in ice water. (I don't eat eggs.) So then they were cooled down and I didn't want to mess them up by reheating them. Anyway, if you're going to check them, check them before you put them in ice. I ordered large syringes to measure out water with because we're going to have to experiment with very small adjustments. I believe the most water they call for I'm the directions is 95ml. I ordered 150ml syringes impulsively but just realized they might not have small enough increments marked on them lol. If not I'll get 100ml ones, too. Just a heads up in case you need to order some kind of tiny measurement tool. I REALLY didn't want to have to deal with this kind of experimentation, that's why I ordered this, to make it simpler for my sister to have food. I think if she had bought this appliance she would get rid of it.
