I am new to orchids and the 2 I have are rescues from the clearance sections. I ordered these to repot one I’ve had for several months and one I just got last week and is not in an appropriate pot or growing medium. I like that these pots have decent sized holes all round and in the bottom so the roots will get some nice ventilation and adequate drainage. I also like that they are clear and I can monitor the health of the roots. The glass itself is quite thin so the pot is lightweight and you don’t have to worry about it being too heavy for a shelf

My wife repotted one of her orchids in this pot but was a little concerned at first. The roots only reached about halfway into the pot. The pot was too deep and the bottom two inches of orchid mix was always wet and she was afraid of root rot. She was able to put a riser in the saucer which helped with air flow and drainage as well as keeping the pot from sitting in water. As you can see in the pictures the orchid spread its roots down to the bottom. She really likes the clear glass so she can see how healthy the root system is. The glass does seem to be a bit thin but hopefully it is sturdy enough not to shatter if bumped against another pot.

My orchids are blooming, so it’s not time to repot—but I do like these “PERFECTOP 2Pcs 5.8inch Glass Orchid Pots.” When I bring blooming orchids in from our greenhouse, I often set them on saucers or wrap the bottoms with aluminum foil to protect tabletops. It looks so much nicer to set blooming orchids inside these glass pots (see first pic.) To illustrate the size of the glass pot, the phalaenopsis is in a 4” plastic pot (see second pic.) I would buy these orchid pots again…
