At the beginning I was quite sceptical after seeing tons of ads for this razor on Instagram, as often most products there end up being cheap quality useless things. But I was in for a surprise. For years I struggled to find good razor for my sensitive skin. I tried plenty of things, everything from cartridge razors from well known brands to safety razors and even got myself Philips Oneblade (good thing but not as convenient as normal razor). Eventually I decided to give it a go and I must say, my shaving experience was never so simple and gentle to my skin. The design of Henson razor really leaves no chance for error to nick yourself or get razor burns. Of course you need to choose a suitable blades, luckily there are tons of options available and enough reviews online to choose the correct one (pairing it with Astra Platinum worked well for me, even if it is not the sharpest blades on the market, but definitely a gentle all-around one). If you are looking for a great safety razor then this is the one. Price might be higher than many other alternatives but it's well worth it.

I am 69 years old but my face is as soft as a baby's bottom! I also have a very robust and somewhat harsh beard. I was reluctant to spend what (I considered) to be a lot of money on this razor. When I received the razor, it seemed well-made but smaller and lighter than I had imagined it? However, I have to say that this is the most easily used and very, very best razor I have ever owned and since its quality construction appears designed to last a lifetime, younger men than me should consider it a genuine bargain!

Any double-blade disposable razor is better, no doubt.

Eccellente, molto meglio di quanto credessi. Ero abituato a un Mach 3 di cui ero soddisfatto, a parte il prezzo delle lame e il loto impatto sull'ambiente. In passato avevo provato altri rasoi a lametta, ma il risultato era sempre un bagno di sangue e, dopo qualche tentativo, per la disperazione tornavo sempre al trilama. Ho una barba non particolarmente dura e pelle delicata, quindi ho preso un Henson AL13 (la versione standard, più delicata) e la rasatura è stata perfetta fin dal primo tentativo, niente tagli, niente irritazioni, pelle perfettamente liscia come col trilama. Chi ha la barba più dura forse potrebbe preferire la versione media, ma sono abbastanza convinto che riuscirebbe a radersi benone anche con questa. Poi ho fatto l'esperimento di lasciar crescere la barba per tre giorni, e anche in questo caso il risultato è stato del tutto simile al trilama. Il rasoio arriva con un pacchetto di 5 lamette. Henson consiglia di usare quelle che forniscono loro, marca RK, quindi ne ho ordinate una scatola da 100 e le ho pagate 14 Euro. Con la stessa cifra, compravo sì e no 5 lamette del trilama. Il rasoio in sé è più caro, ma è di alluminio (c'è anche una versione di lusso in titanio), quindi è eterno e si ripaga in 6-10 mesi alla grande. Già dopo il primo esperimento ho ordinato un secondo Henson da tenere nel kit da visggio e ho gettato nella spazzatura il vecchio rasoio senza rimpianti. Insomma, vi suggerisco caldamente di comprarlo, non ha senso continuare a sprecare soldi e a inquinare il mondo con i multilama. Spedizione perfetta sotto tutti i punti di vista.

This is an excellent safety razor, by bending the blade it is very easy to use compared to other similar razors I have used. The risk of cuts and abrasions is greatly reduced. My only issue, a small one, is the aluminum it’s made of. It feels a bit too light, I would have preferred steel if that was an option.

Probablement le meilleur rasoir de sureté que je possède, la finition est parfaite et il est d'une précision redoutable. Sa légèreté déroute un peu au début mais on s'habitue vite. Je le recommande à ceux qui ont une peau sensible pour une utilisation au quotidien. Le prix est certes élevé mais justifié... Achetez le les yeux fermés, vous ne regretterez pas !
