A bit complex, but great
I love the battery life on this. I could in theory go days without charging it, but if charges so fast I just plop it on the charger when I take a shower and I’ve yet to have it run out of power. It’s a little tricky to get the hang of. Some things like ordering your most common workouts on top aren’t intuitive. In this case you just scroll through the first time you do the workout and it’ll float to the top next time. It automatically detects stuff like walking and running. It only counts towards your exercise if your heart rate is in a cardio zone, so warm ups and cool downs often get automatically filtered out. Personally, I find that functionality convenient. It’s small enough to count as dainty, and there are bands suitable for any event. They’re really easy to swap as well. It’s comfortable enough, at least with the right band, to sleep in. Just be willing to swap bands if the one that comes with it doesn’t do it for you. Overall, after the learning curve, I love it.

Just keeps getting better... except for the wristband!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I received this Fitbit as a gift as a replacement to a previous version that had a dead screen, but otherwise was still working. Everythingnfunctions the same and appears to be accutate. I mainly use it for heartbeat and step counts, but with this version I have been tracking my sleep patterns as well. One negative here, but not something I would take a star off, is the plastic/silicone band that came with this Fitbit caused my skin to blister and rash up. I swapped out to a magnetic strap that my wife had bought with the Fitbit and my skin cleaned right up. I never had reaction to previous wristbands on my older Fitbit or any other watch, do something changed in this new band.

Fitbit app and synching are Positively 3rd Rate
I bought this, primarily, because I like Fitbit's sleep analysis and I like to track my sleep. I find the data consistent over time and with events that can impact my sleep. For this alone, I would award 5 stars. However, I have had chronic problems with the app and the fitbit being unable to sync. It isn't a phone/bluetooth issue, since my hearing aids, Bose earbuds, and computer have no problems automatically connecting (at power up) and maintaining that connection for the duration. The Fitbit is a whole 'nother story. Once in a while I can power down my phone and restart it and power it back up and the app will work. Usually, I have to uninstall and reinstall the fitbit app, and go through the rigamarole of setup, pairing, and etc.. Frankly, I have far better things to do than engage in periodic Fitbit setup gymnastics to get the device to work. Granted, I didn't spend a fortune for this unit, but it, and/or the app, should be reliable. This time I've just uninstalled the app, and I'm putting the fitbit in the desk drawer, the land of sub-standard tech. So from that 5 starts I will subtract 3 or maybe 4 stars.

Great Watch!
I love my FitBit! I recently had to purchase a new one when I accidentally sent my last one through the washer and dryer (oops!), and getting a new Charge 6 was a no-brainer. Paying for the premium membership definitely has perks, but it is in no way required to enjoy the app. I specifically love the sleep quality tracker; on days that I technically got enough sleep but still feel tired, I can easily check my sleep quality and understand why I'm feeling exhausted. The only thing I would suggest is buying a more breathable band (there are many options on Amazon). The band that comes with it can cause irritation if it stays in one place for too long, especially when it's hot outside or during an intense workout. The watch is cute without being too big like some other brands are, the watch and the app are simple to use and easy to understand, and there are all sorts of different watch face options that make the watch easy to read. They last for a while too! I had my previous watch for several years and it worked great (up until the laundry incident). I likely would've gotten at least another year or two out of it if not for my user error.

Meets all my needs
It was relatively easy to set up and transfer data from my last Fitbit. It has a bright display, a huge plus compared to my Charge4. It has a standalone GPS, another plus though my running path appears more jiggly than it is. The battery life is not as advertised but long enough. Slim, elegant design. Nice color. Downsides: Unlike Charge 4, Charge 6 has no altimeter, so there is no "floor" count. Fitbit: please add this valuable feature back on. With the GPS on, the battery needs to be charged every 4 to 5 days. A small inconvenience.

Good as Charge 5
Does what I want it to do. I had a Charge 5 that worked really well (for long than each of my previous Fitbit watches!) but it quick working when I got it wet in the pool for a minute. So I bought the charge 6, it’s good too.
