DS5i Smart Station™ Biometric Smart Safe with Dual Wireless Phone Charger + Auto Open Drawer + Bluetooth Safe Management (Covert Black)

I can't say enough positive things about this safe. It's very well packaged so it arrives in good condition, easy to set up and functions very very well. I've owned cheaper similar products and candidly they've all disappointed. Ways this safe outshines other competition I've tried: - Incredibly reliable and consistent finger print opening - lesser products are VERY finicky here and ureliable which isn't acceptable given the purpose of this safe. - Robust set of programming options, the ability to have two master finger prints and a master code that enable addition of other codes/finger prints is intuitive and secure. - The drawer slides smoothly and quieting - again on lesser products it's typically loud and clunky or far too slow. - Numerous options for configuration, lighting, etc. all accessed very easily through their app which is well thought through. - The charging options are fantastic and work very well, it easily aligns my iphone without me having to really pay too much attention or even look and having extra USB A & USB C ports on the back are perfect for other devices I regularly charge on my nightstand such as a weapon light or iPad Final comment, Vaultek support is fantastic. I noticed a faint beeping sound on the first unit I received, they worked with me to troubleshoot and when we weren't able to resolve it they sent a replacement and return shipping label without hesitation. The new unit is flawless and doesn't exhibit the behavior. It matters a lot to have a company stand behind their products and Vaultek demonstrated that they do. Every product has a fluke from time to time that doesn't function perfectly... not every company takes care of it when it happens. This has a huge value to me, can't recommend the DS5i Smart Station or Vaultek enough.

First and foremost, I don't care if this beautiful clock doesn't come with alarm. This thing is heavy, durable and has a high quality build to it. Has a beautiful touch screen display as well as the sleek wrinkle black paint for that very clean look. Setting it up and app is easy to use. No issues whatsoever with biometric finger print reader. I don't have sweaty hands like others do. Opens right up every time. Keeps my guns out of kid's reach. I have a Gen5 G19 with TLR7X light and EPS MRS green optic and a Gen5 G26 inside there, and they both fits fine. One slight issue though, is that when wireless charging your phone, it get super hot. Could be just my phone but somebody else said the same thing in their review here. But that will not stop me from giving it a 5 stars though. 5 Months Review UPDATE(3-11-2025): Both the USB-C and USB Type A on the far left if facing the front of clock stopped working. Contacted Vaultek, and they are shipping me out a brand new one with a return label to ship back the old one. Awesome customer service!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Technology and options were abundant. Value for money: it is definitely pricier than other similar products, but I wanted a brand name product to keep my weapons and/or valuables safe (pun intended). Security: I like the remote feature but don't know if I will use it, but the biometric and security code is great; backup key is also standard. Storage capacity: It has room to store your full size weapon and a couple of magazines.

Well worth the price. Heavy...love the four ways to access the safe biometric, number setting, via mobile app, and key entry. My last safe, which I owned for ten years was only accessible with a biometric fingerprint and a swipe card, however once the electronics failed, I couldn't open the safe and I had to use a metal cutting blade on my chop saw to get it open. I like the interior light and the bright red LED clock. Only one caveat. It gives the temperature and humidity setting but that applies to the interior of the safe, not the outside room temperature or humidity. Last note, it is heavy and it comes with a tie down cable which you can secure to some immovable or secured object. I have mine tied to my bed headboard post.

Ths is by far the best safe I have found for my weapon to keep it bedside. It looks like an innocuous alarm clock, so it does not stand out as what it is. There are no controls to set the time. It is only done through bluetooth pairing with a cell phone. A cell phone is therefore a must with this product. I would knock it down for that, but who does not have a smart phone these days? I do have an issue with the display. I set it to only display time, temp and humidity at level 1 of 5 to avoid bright lights while I am sleeping. From time to time, the entire display including green lights will come on an dcycle back to the preferred settings. It appears this might be due to the proximity of my eyeglasses on the night stand or items sitting on top of the unit. If I keep it clear (except for items on the charging pads), I do not seem to have the issue. I was a bit irritated that the mounting bracket is not sold anywhere other than through the manufacturer's website. For a $500 safe, they should include the mounting bracket with the safe. Granted, it is only $11.95 when purchased from the manufacturer, but they also charged $25 for shipping via standard USPS mail. I could understand the cost if the weight were excessive, but it is not. They are raking in the cash from people who want the mounting bracket and have no other way to get one. That alone makes me dislike the manufacturer enough that I wont buy anything directly from them again. But for features, there is not another manufacturer that compares. Everything on the safe is customizable from the interior light, to the display, to the lights on the charging ports. It is a bit complicated to get fingerprints and codes set, but once they are set they do not need to be changed. The fingerprint sensor opens the safe immediately if you get your finger on it just right. But it is a bit finnicky about finger placement. Since it will store 30 fingerprints, you might just have to store the same finger in multiple sockets to make it a bit less particular about placement. The safe is deep enough to store my passport, M18X Sig and three full magazines with a bit of room to spare. I would prefer jsut a tad bit deeper to be able to store a box of Winchester 100 round ammo in there. With the loaded clips, I should have more than enough ammo ready for nearly any home defense situation unless we are talking an incoming zombie hoarde. Hopefully the treadmills surrounding the house will slow them down enough to allow me to reload.

Nice item.. good size. Love the clock and the other screen features. The finger print scanner only works about 20% of the time, no mater how many times redo them. The remote I purchased to go with this doesn’t connect, so that was a waste of money. Could be better. The fingerprint scanner is a big disappointment

Charges my work cell and personal cell, both without overheating like someone else mentioned, also fit my watch charger on the rear using the usb plug. Love how it blends in and looks like an alarm clock. I wanted something that locked up but was easily accessible in case of an emergency and this does the trick. Finger print reader works extremely well. I haven’t had any issues but it says to add the same finger print more than once if you have issues getting it to unlock. It’s worked every time for me. Large storage space, fits my conceal carry, wallet, keys, holster, magazines, anything you need. Make sure to add the backup AAA batteries to make the beeping noise go away.

Love it! I am able to charge both my android and iPhone on it every night.
