They a were a great gift to a new mom that wanted to read to her new son.

This has been the only truly comprehensive set of books that I have found that has all of the stories (plus some I didn't even know) that I read when I was growing up. These are true to the original Grimm brothers stories-some of the story lines are not so pleasant and may not be suitable for younger kids but there are enough books in the set to have these around for a long time as your kids grow up. There is also a page in the back of each story with the history of the story which I thought was really cool. I bought a set for our house and then just gave a set as gift-this will definitely be a go to baby shower gift for me moving forward.

We bought these for our grandchildren for Christmas. They love them and we love reading those old classics to them

Lovely collection of stories that bring back great memories from my childhood. They are beautifully illustrated and should be interesting for young readers. The package however arrived damaged and was held together by three rubber bands. Quite disappointing because now I won’t be able to use the beautiful case to keep them organized. It detracts from the quality of item and the feeling that this is set of books you could keep in your family for other generations. I remember the older versions were so beautifully illustrated and durable.

My seven-year-old was asking me for these book set for the longest time ever and he’s obsessed and very happy that I got it for his birthday. He loves fairytales, so this was a wonderful gift for him.

My two year old daughter loves these. She puts the little c.d. in her player and presses play and sets and plays while listening to her story c.d. when I am making dinner. The stories are pretty close to the familiar ones I remember growing.

Actually, haven't seen these versions. Years ago, the pictures of the trolls, wolves, etc. were exciting and scary, but they started to get less so in the newer editions. Will have to hold off a review until I see if all those characters have been so "declawed" that they're no longer memorable.

I used to have these books growing up and the original paper quality was much better. The stories are great though!

Which delivery, very good quality of books my daughter enjoys them. Will definitely buy the rest of the fairytales. Love them!

Excellent, Highly recommended seller. Lovely box set of great stories. Bought this set as a gift for my newborn daughter. My parents used to read ladybird books to me as a child and they were also my favourite books when I was learning to read. I hope my daughter enjoys them just as much as I did. The box set looks great, unfortunately my set had two Rapunzel books and no Gingerbread Man, obviously a mistake when they were being packed and nothing to do with the seller. I contacted BOOKS4USUK via Amazon and they very kindly and quickly sent The Gingerbread Man book out to me so I could complete the collection. Excellent service from a great seller. It will be the first place I look in future when looking for books. Thanks again.

I was not happy that this product which was a gift for a child came wrapped in a Captain Morgan alcohol box, it was embarrassing!
