Easy Setup and Works Great
Setup was quick and straightforward, and the battery-powered design makes it easy to install without dealing with wiring. The video quality is clear, and the motion alerts are reliable and it does a good job of keeping you aware of what’s going on at your door. Features like two-way talk and app notifications make it really convenient to check in from anywhere. It’s been holding up well so far and does exactly what I need it to do. One thing to keep in mind is battery life can vary depending on how often it’s triggered, so you may need to recharge it more or less frequently depending on usage. I check it evert week to be sure and I’m in a high traffic area. I usually need to recharge every couple months.

Great Deal!
I purchased this paired with an indoor ring unit which made it a great deal. Installation was easy. I could have put an in line unit in, but this one works just fine. Helps me keep track of my dogs, cat and horses as well as the occasional person at my door. Gives a good picture and good sound.

Love this little gadget. Battery life is outstanding!
I have been debating getting a ring camera for quite some time now. I was never really worried about people stealing stuff from my porch or any shady things going on outside, so the need wasn't too pressing. Enter the wonderful Cyber Monday/Black Friday sale. This little gem was half off, so I figured I'd go for it. The return window was extended until the end of January, so I knew I'd get a good deal of time to really decide if this was something I wanted/needed. I opted against paying the $50+ to have a technician come to my house to install it. Mainly because it would only mean that someone would come to my house and show me how to use the app (without doing anything else). Sorry, not paying someone more money that I spent on the product to show me how to set up the perfectly easy app. I don't have Taylor Swift money just lying around. I also opted to use the battery feature instead of hardwiring it to my actual doorbell. A few people stated that it takes a long time to charge. This is true. I believe it took me about 6 hours (the battery was around 40% when I opened the box). HOWEVER...it is March 2 and I am still sitting at 52% battery life. This was installed on November 25. That's a little over 3 months and only half of the battery has drained. I'm more than okay with that. The only issue that I have is that there is about a 2-3 second delay from when someone enters the video zone and when my phone alerts me. And to be honest, that's really just nitpicking at this point. Once the doorbell has been rung, there is no delay while speaking to the person outside. The video quality is wonderful, even at night. (I'll edit this review later to show the quality, my phone is charging right now, oops) I definitely love my little ring camera. It was easy to install on my door frame (I only had space to use 2 screws, but it is secured perfectly), and the app is very user-friendly (no need to spend $50 on someone coming to your house)

Great Investment for Home Security
After using this Ring device for over a year, I can confidently say it’s a great investment for home security. The performance has been consistent from day one — no issues, no drops in quality, and very reliable overall. The video clarity is excellent both day and night, and the motion detection is very responsive without being overly sensitive. I especially like how quickly the notifications come through on my phone, allowing me to monitor my home in real time. The setup process was straightforward, and the app interface is user-friendly and well designed. Over time, the device has proven to be durable and dependable, even with daily use. If you’re looking for a smart, reliable, and long-lasting security solution, this is definitely worth considering. I would absolutely buy it again.

Bricks in the cold if using solar-customer service seems good eventually
( Edit at the end) Everything was working great from like September until late December early January when temperatures started to get fairly cold (like teens to negative teens *F). I have it set up with the solar recharging function so I never have to bring it inside to charge it... but as it got colder (and daylight hours kept shrinking and cloud cover more and more prevalent) I noticed the charging seemed to be less, the blue light indicating charging was not on even i daytime, or was not addining to charge, just maintaining 1 or 2 bars.... Brought it inside and charged it inside once and it worked for a short while even accepting a charge again (blue light flashing) outside. I assumed that it may have just not gotten enough light and went totally flat beyond what the solar could pump in during gloomy weather. Mind you all my solar lights were still at least attempting to work even at like -15... -23F they started to fail... but they did at least attempt to work even with their panel covered in some snow remnants or ice droplets. However for about a week maybe more that its been like -10or colder most of the day except maybe the like around 2pm where temps may reach above zero ish for a while, it's bricked. No blue light. no connection to app etc. Brought it inside 3 days ago, let it warm up before connecting to a working USB C charger. Stillno blue light. Have had it plugged in over night a few times (not wanting to leave it plugged in when Im at work) and still no flicker of life. The orange set up reset etc button on back produces no activity at all. Attempts to trouble shoot have failed using the apps help options, and the chat option for the customer support is unresponsive. Called customer support and they're experiencing longer than average wait times and suggest using the chat option for faster help. Hung up to write this review because that was my final straw of tolerance. Internet noodling has produced some info. These devices (and similar things I guess) stop accepting charges at cold temperatures unlike my variety of random solar lights which keep right on trucking. And buried in the help topics in the ring app is this info... not on the info for selling it. When you have customers in a lot of areas where the temp often drops down below the solar usefulness a good portion of the year, its good manners, good business practice (as to not p--- perturb customers) to fully and upfront disclose this info. Not bury it. Especially when the stats on the listing, if I remember correctly say it functions to -4F. This isn't qualified openly with "ok the camera and wifi may work etc to this temp but don't expect the solar charging accessories to work in the cold"... I give 3 stars because yes it works well within parameters, but they should make it darn clear solar will stop charging below 32F. So like a good portion of the country in the winter, the solar will stop working. Think of anywhere where snow sticks around... solar isn't going to charge. Oopsied this info is only found if you dig i to trouble shooting. 3 stars is also because it shouldn't be this hard to connect to get help when their trouble shooting options fail. 3 stars because currently, my less than 6 month old product is a brick. Totally unresponsive. And I attempts to contact help so far have failed or been a total pain. So, heads up, watch your temps lol Edit 1: after writing the review, I sat through the long wait for getting in touch with customer service, and they were able to verify my identiy via the app (easy enough) and then do some diagnostics from their end, to confirm it had been in cold temp mode last time it was responsive but since it wasn't responding to the reset button or any diagnostics from their end, something was wrong with the firmware (think that was the word), so they said well your product is under waranty so we will send you a replacement, and send back yours when it arrives with the mailing label. Adding a 4th star because all they needed was a few pictures uploaded to a link the gal sent me via email while I was still on the phone (juggling active screens on my phone from call to email to link and back), and we were on our way. There were some long hold pauses where she was going through the processes on her end but she checked in periodically to let me know I wasn't forgotten. Customer service for some redemption on my review. I dont think I will ever be able to give an item thats security minded 5 stars if it has to either be removed to charge inside, or maybe even not work below 32F especially when that's not well emphasized on the sales info. Leaves you with a bit of a securitiy gap... Also there was an accent on customer service end (she probably thought I had one too, WI/Midwest accent seems normal to me because its mine but I've geard we still have one in this area) BUT I was still able to understand about 99% of the conversation, and I think the 1%ish loss was more a connection/microphone issue vs. customer support based on a totally different variant of English speaking which renders communication questionable. 4 stars overall.

Great security camera with easy setup
I’m very happy with this Ring Battery Doorbell. The video quality is clear, the motion detection works well, and the app is easy to use. Installation was simple and the battery lasts a good amount of time. I like that I can see and talk to visitors from my phone even when I’m away from home. It gives me extra security and peace of mind. Great option for both home and business use.

Great product
I bought the Ring Battery Doorbell with the Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen, Black) as a simple way to cover both my front door and an indoor space without dealing with complicated wiring or multiple apps. Setup was very straightforward, and everything runs smoothly through the Ring app, which makes managing alerts, live view, and settings easy. Video quality is solid on both devices, with clear daytime footage and reliable night vision. The indoor camera in particular impressed me with how sharp the image is and how clear the two-way audio sounds. Motion detection works well overall once you take a few minutes to fine-tune the motion zones and sensitivity. The doorbell can be a bit sensitive if you’re on a busy street, but once adjusted it gives accurate alerts for people and deliveries. Like most battery-powered doorbells, there can occasionally be a slight delay before recording starts, and battery life really depends on how much activity you have and how often you check live view. The indoor cam feels more “instant” since it’s plugged in and is great for checking on pets or general activity inside the house. One thing to keep in mind is that while you can use both devices without a subscription, the Ring Protect plan really unlocks their full potential by allowing video history and richer notifications. Overall, this bundle feels like a great value if you want an easy, reliable security setup with indoor and outdoor coverage in one package. It’s not completely “set it and forget it” because of battery charging and the subscription upsell, but for convenience, usability, and everyday performance, it’s been a very satisfying purchase.

Great purchase
I've been wanting to put security items around my house for some time now, so I decided to start with the doorbell. Also, since our actual doorbell doesnt work anymore it was a no brianer to start here. This works perfectly! Easy instal, easy app usage, great picture quality (except when zooming in, it gets a little fuzzy), easy to connect to wifi but definitely recommend the Chime Pro if your router is far from your front door. Amazing!! I love now that I can see when family is coming and going when I'm not home and get alerted of all activity outside my house. This has been installed for about a month now and I have no complaints.

Good video quality and easy setup but subscription and connectivity have downsides
I installed this Ring Battery Video Doorbell at the front door and overall I’m pleased with the basics of how it works. Installation was straightforward and the battery option means I didn’t have to run wiring, which made setup much easier than I expected. The video quality is clear and captures a good amount of detail so I can see people approaching the door from top to bottom. Using the app to get alerts and view live video on my phone is handy and the two-way talk feature works well when someone presses the doorbell. I also like that it integrates with Alexa and I can see the feed on my smart display. There are a few things that might be worth knowing before you buy. A subscription is required to access and store video history, and without it you only get basic live alerts, which makes the full feature set feel limited unless you are prepared to pay for the plan. Some users also report intermittent connectivity issues where the doorbell disconnects from Wi-Fi and needs troubleshooting to reconnect. Battery life seems decent but not exceptional, so if you get a lot of motion activity you may find yourself recharging every few weeks rather than months. Alerts and motion detection are generally reliable, but there are mixed reports about how accurately all movement is picked up depending on placement and settings. Overall this is a good choice if you want a simple wireless video doorbell with solid video quality and ease of setup, but be aware that subscription costs and occasional connectivity issues are part of the experience with this type of device. Many users find it worth it once configured to their needs, but it is not perfect out of the box.

Even if you don't need it, you should have it
This is a must-have product for every household, whether you own or rent. It is often available at a great price on sale, making it an affordable security upgrade that offers incredible value. Perfect for Renters and Owners Because it’s so easy to manage, you can install it in a rental and either take it with you or leave it behind when you move. Most owners would be more than happy to approve the installation since it adds an extra layer of security to the property. Security and Convenience The "peace of mind" this device provides is unmatched. It’s incredibly handy to see exactly who is at your door in real-time, whether you are at home or halfway across the world. Nighttime Security: It acts as an early warning system at night; you’ll be the first to know if someone is there thanks to the reliable movement alerts. Smart Monitoring: Between the doorbell rings and the motion sensors, you never feel out of the loop. The Subscription It is worth noting that an annual subscription is required to unlock continuous recording or to save footage triggered by motion and rings. Even with that extra cost, the security and history it provides make it a very worthwhile investment.
