I have a 220 volts (50 hz/50 cycles) single phase connection for 2 hp motor. will this work for it? thanks.

As seen in the picture in the listing of the back of the timer, it is good for 2 hp at 250 VAC 50/60 HZ.

Can this timer be manually turned off or does the time have to run out once it is set?

Yes, you simply turn the knob back to 0. As with other timers like this, It is harder to turn back than when winding it up. There is a clutch inside for this purpose.

I see it has 3 terminals (2 on top 1 on bottom) which do I use for the 2 wires that were used in the old switch.
