Quality Large Diaphragm Condenser mics
Heard about these mics from a metal recording engineer (Kohlekeller studios) and they sounded great while retaining uniqueness that separated them from other drum overheads. So I decided to give these a shot, and I am quite impressed with them myself! I've only used them for drum overheads and as a speaking mic, so I haven't had a ton of experience on other sources, but they have great character. I've tested out the different polar patterns available, and they indeed change the pickup pattern, though I've mainly stuck with the cardioid pattern for drums and maybe some figure 8 for voice chat. These mics definitely sound like condenser mics. Overall, I've encountered no issues with them overall. The shockmounts are quite durable and strong, mics sound great, and they're constructed well. Couple things to note: they need phantom power to work, they come with a pop filter and mic sock (for wind), but they don't come with a case. I like protecting mics with hardshell cases, and this doesn't come with one, but it does come with a small bag which is soft on the inside and a hard (faux leather) outer layer that feels like it would protect the mic from scratches. The biggest thing: great value for the money! A very professional large diaphragm condenser sound that is reminiscent of the mic type but is also unique in its own right. Faithfully captures all the sound sources I've tried.

Holy Heck - What a mic!
I've only been using this for a few weeks but my LORD does it hit the spot. This thing sounds so clean, so clear. Mind your mic positioning, of course, but you'll definitely be pleased with how clean, clear, and effective this mic is. I've used it for everything from Main vocals to background, chorus, and gang vocals. It's REALLY strong for everything. The only thing it can't do well is sound like a beat up old vintage mic, because it's so well designed and so clean that it's just not possible without post processing. Do yourself a favor and listen to the audio examples on the website or youtube. I'm sure you'll find that for the price and for the featureset, not much else comes close. My favorite part, while a bit embarrassing to admit, is the way the polar pattern switching works. It's really simple. No knobs or external processing or an uncomfortable nub that feels cold and metallic. No, it has a simple set of clicking switches to rotate clockwise or counterclockwise. These two buttons allow for a huge amount of functionality on the 48v powered LED screen on the front of the microphone. You can switch patterns, ensure that a pattern is locked from switching, randomize polar pattern choices, and more! It's an incredibly useful and genius piece of design philosophy that gives you more power in an easier to navigate form factor. The polar patterns are plentiful and include multiple options, including cardioid patterns on BOTH sides of the mic (so you don't have to move a stand if, for example, you're limited on space and have two vocalists taking turns on either side of the mic), a bidirectional mode, useful for duets and interviews, and an omnidirectional mode that absolutely SLAYS on gang vocals. I've never had vocals translate this well directly to a mix. It's amazing. Please, PLEASE do yourself a favor. Get this mic. You may be amazed at how well it fits in any situation.

Best Buy for a Vocal Studio
This is the best mic I’ve ever owned. Such an upgrade from my audio technica. It sounds so much like what my voice sounds like in my head. Try the different polar patterns for warmth or brightness. The sound quality is phenomenal. I feel like I need to re-record all previous audio.

Versatile, definition mic
As with all of the Lewitt condenser mics from the Pure 440 up, this mic offers amazing detail at just about any mic'ing job conceivable. Nice clear, modern sound that offers very transparent "processable" recorded tracks. Awesome drum overheads and room mics in Omni or figure 8 mode. Acoustic Guitar and vocals both shimmer using this mic. For loud cabinets, horns or close drum micing, you could use these but I would probably go with ribbons or dynamics for those applications anyway. Put a couple in your locker...you won't regret it.

Amazing microphones for drum recording
These mics are absolutely amazing. I was previously using the LCT 140 Air mics on my drum overheads. After switching to these, everything sounds so much better. The cymbals are balanced and no longer harsh and brittle. The toms are nice and punchy and it picks up the whole drum kit extremely well. The off-axis rejection is amazing for a large diaphragm condenser. These mics were recommended to me by a pro sound engineer who uses them himself and it was a great recommendation.

Didn't Make It A Year
Sounded pretty good while it lasted - I managed to record 8 of the 10 songs on my current project with it, and though the vocals are all a little faint in the upper-mids and a little muddy in the lows, it was overall not a bad recording experience. But then people started telling me that during meetings and interviews my mic "sounded weird", and when I'd switch over to monitor the audio I could immediately hear how quiet and filled with static the sound was. It's like I was being broadcast through an old walkie talkie that's losing power! After about a month and a half of that happening inconsistently, it finally started happening full-time, to the point I had to swap mics, back to the old one. No WAY I buy another Lewitt after this - this thing cost more than double the one I swapped back to and THAT one has literally never once given me trouble. I thought I was upgrading, but nope, I was throwing money away. If you're really looking to buy a brick, you can get them way cheaper than this.

This allows for versatile recording capabilities, adapting to different sound sources and environments with precision. Additionally, the microphone offers high sensitivity and low self-noise, ensuring clear and detailed audio capture even in quiet settings. Its robust construction and included shock mount further enhance its value, making it a compelling choice for professional recording applications.
