Use to cut bananas too
It cuts the butter! I was a bit worried due to reviews about making sure butter is the right temperature. I used it with soft butter because of reviews and the butter was too sticky. I started using right out of the fridge and no problem. It is very convenient to have butter pre-sliced. It saves washing knives every time for a pat of butter. It is also nice portion control. I was making banana pudding and discovered it is great for cutting bananas in nice even slices. Perfect!

I havenโt had a chance to use this as yet but the wires are sturdy and taught, so I imagine it will work great cutting various items. Itโs of good weight and well made.

Probably works better with hard-boiled eggs and strawberries
I wasn't able to cut through the butter when it was taken right out of the fridge. However, I let it sit for about 10-15 minutes and was able to cut through but it does take a little bit of strength. I'm still not sure what the steel cloth is for. It says it's for cleaning the butter slicer, but can't you just wash it by hand?

This is a fantastic tool I love to bake and it cuts your butter just the right size, so much easier to cut into you dry ingredients,very well made easy to use and clean I love it
