Your work from home screen
Yeah this is the type of extra screen that you're looking for, especially if you work from home or on the go with just a laptop. The screen can be, portrait or landscape. But the one thing that really sold it for me and when I was always looking for aside from just basic build quality and resolution was the fact that there is no power source. So there's no extra cable that needs to power the screen. The screen itself is powered from your device, so from your MacBook or your other laptop. They ship it with a travel cover as well. The cable is of great quality. Definitely recommend for the new work from home standard.

Great for Multitasking!
As a university student, this monitor has been a lifesaver for my studies. Having research papers open on one screen and my coding projects on the other has boosted my work efficiency. When I only need one screen for studying, I use this monitor to relax with movies or shows, and the Full HD 1080p resolution is fantastic! Setting up the monitor with my 14” MacBook Pro was easy. The monitor is super portable and fits well in my laptop bag, so I can easily carry it to the library or a coffee shop. I absolutely love the rose-gold color. It adds a nice touch of style. The screen is bright and vibrant, making everything look great. The monitor's pivot hinge is a great feature; I usually turn it vertically when I'm coding and rotate it back when I'm watching videos. It's super convenient. Very satisfied!

Excellent for frequent travelers
Summary of the key points: The Sotsul display: + Has excellent build quality with an aluminum finish + Matches the quality of your MacBook Pro + Has no protruding buttons + Comes with a protective bag with foam padding + Appears more durable and better suited for travel + Plug and play, easy to set up and connect to my Mack Book Pro + Great for Professionals and occasional Netflix (not a gamer so can't judge) - Features 400 nits brightness, which you find satisfactory but could be slightly higher My previous display I purchased: - Cost about half as much - Had a plastic casing that proved to be fragile - Buttons were exposed and vulnerable to damage - Broke after just three trips through airport security. Buttons were pushed in, rendering brightness adjustment impossible, Got stuck at 35% brightness Important Highlights when choosing a portable display, especially for frequent travelers: - Build quality: The aluminum chassis of the Sotsul seems far more durable than the plastic of my previous model. - Button design: The absence of protruding buttons on the Sotsul is a significant improvement for durability. - Protective accessories: The included foam-padded bag adds an extra layer of protection. - Brightness: While 400 nits is good, but could be slightly higher. Price vs. longevity: The more expensive Sotsul seems to offer better value in the long run due to its durability.

It good have been great
I really wanted to love this monitor. The design is fantastic and well thought out. The pass thru charging was awesome on a windows surface laptop. The brightness was great. The thing that kills this monitor is the terrible quality of the actually screen. Its fuzzy and not clear. No amount of tinkering with the settings will get the monitor sharp enough for long term use. It’s such a shame. If they could get a higher quality panel in this design I would buy it again in a second. Take note sotsu.

Beautiful but doesn’t play nice with Apple
I truly appreciate the sleek design and portability of this monitor; it’s an attractive addition to my setup. However, I primarily use an M4 iPad Pro and was hoping for a seamless experience, particularly with the automatic rotation feature. Unfortunately, I’ve found that the auto-rotate functionality does not work with the iPad Pro, which has been disappointing While the monitor initially operates well, I've encountered issues with the controls becoming unresponsive after some time. For instance, I was scrolling through a webpage on the second monitor when I switched to my iPad screen. Upon returning to the portable monitor to scroll, it started behaving erratically—auto-scrolling and selecting items without my input. This forced me to disconnect the monitor entirely, which was frustrating On a positive note, the monitor does function well with my M1 MacBook Pro, but the touch features didn’t quite meet my expectations, and the auto-rotate issue persists. I configured it in portrait mode for a lengthy document and found that I could only move the mouse around rather than scroll through the document with my finger, which limited its usability Overall, while the portability and easy orientation adjustment are fantastic features, they alone may not justify the price tag. I’m hopeful that it will work better with my Dell tablet, although I predominantly use Apple devices.

The Base Does Not Come with the Monitor
Sotsu is an excellent portable monitor for my Mac laptop. Great image, ease of use, plug in and go! The one caveat and why it loses a star for me... this order does NOT come with its compatible magnetic base.... which is what made me really want this monitor versus others on the market. I have now ordered the base, which is quite pricy on top of the monitor. Once I received the package, I realized my mistake. But the images for the monitor are misleading, showing the base even though that is not what you are receiving. No regrets, but it would have been nice to know that what I thought was a black friday deal of approximately $180 was more like $250.

Great design, practical, and ergonomic
Great monitor, nicely fit mac setting, very easy setup with one usb c cable. Really ergonomic and beautifully designed stand and monitor combo. Very practical and fit a sling bag with a macbook air. Buy this and save your cervical spine!

This product is just a hype made by the influencers. Apart from the look, the product is cheap in all its form. The cables fit the points like a cheap grade product. The back stand is stubborn and does not move as smoothly as shown in the videos and reels. I had purchased another $100 portable screen first and it felt much better. The only reason I kept this is because its 14" and I got a back Friday deal, and 15.6" felt too big for a portable screen. All I am hoping is that price is reflected in its longevity as well, and not just its looks.

I plugged it in for a few minutes and requested a return immediately. The product aesthetics are great but 1. The screen resolution and clarity is unacceptably bad for the price point 2. On a Mac it is VERY laggy when resizing windows et cetera (it is not laggy when scrolling or operating just literally resizing windows). Similar to the non-touch 14 inch monitor the swivel mount is off-set and not centred on the product like the 16" models. It does seem VERY portable but again the screen res and clarity are super poor. I should note for context that I still have a 1080P TV haha... and it does not bother me... but this thing did. I might try and 16" version and see if its any better.
