Kuwait: Everything You Need to Know [Gil-Smith, Noah] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Kuwait: Everything You Need to Know Review: Not worth the cost and time to read - Bought this to prepare for a trip to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. The book is mostly written in general platitudes with little detailed substantive information. Better details about history, government, etc can be found in a short Wikipedia article. One finds nothing about things to see and do until the second half of the book, the last of its 1-2 page "chapters", and those give no details. Half way through this vacuous reading I turned back to the front to find out who the author was. In fine print on the copyright page is a long blurb that says in part "this book was created with the assistance of Artificial Intelligence". It then says "The content presented in this book is for entertainment purposes only" and "It should not be considered as a substitute for professional advice or comprehensive research". If this is "Everything You Need to Know" as the title says, why is this book then disclaimed as not a substitute for other consultation and reading. In a word this book is worthless for the traveller, or scholar, and frankly misleading in its title. Review: As a professional travel writer of two decades, it was enough for me to read a few random sentences to see this book was written using Chat GPT. There is an admission in the blurb at the front but still an absolute disgrace! Returned.
