Color is true to dark brown. It does smell first day but give by next day after you wash your hair. I love that it doesn’t hurt my scalp because I am sensitive to ammonia. Color won’t last as long about 30 washes or less

This hair color is great. I love that when using, there is no strong awful smell like other hair colors I have used. It has a pleasant smell that I can deal with while I am wearing it. This dark brown color seems to come out very dark on me when I use it. I have naturally brown hair, but comes out looking black on the top layer of my hair. I guess it’s because the top layer is more damaged than the hair underneath. I’m switching to a lighter color, but love the brand nevertheless!

I have attached pictures and videos from my personal experience and a few tips and mishaps as well. I ordered the 2 pack so I would have the right color when it comes time for touch ups.I want to start by saying I love the overall color. It gives great depth and shine. I have significant amounts of gray hair around my crown area and they are usually impossible to cover over with other brands I have tried, until I used this particular color. I tried the same brand but In the light neutral brown and instead was too light and looked like light auburn brassy brown ( before the purple shampoo) I didn't like it. So I dedcided on one color darker. There isn't a strong chemical smell as some have where you literally feel like jumping out a window for fresh air! As far as the time it takes, to prep for coloring to my personal desired color to achieve ( which is longer because of the gray hair) was about an hour. The end result is, I love the color and wish I had found it sooner. This one covers all grays and left my hair soft and no after smell! I love it! However, It would have taken a shorter amount of time but I came across a snag with the packaging . The instructions were shoved in ( almost if it had been returned or poor packaging. Key issues: only had one glove,when opening both applicator and developer both quickly poured out and left me with 50% or less of each product. Luckily, I had the second box and had to use its contents and other glove to color my hair. Basically, I ended up paying for twice the price for one box. I can only assume it was from different temperatures or how this one was stored that made it react like that. Even with the mishap , I would still highly recommend this product , especially for those with gray hair!

This Garnier hair dye is a great option if you don’t want to spend a lot of money at a salon. The application is simple and beginner-friendly, and the ammonia-free formula makes it much more comfortable to use with no chemical smell. The color comes out rich, natural, and even, with good gray coverage and my hair felt soft and shiny afterward( they include a conditioner as well) The oil-rich formula helps prevent that dry, damaged feeling box dyes sometimes cause. Overall, it’s an easy way to get professional-looking results at home and save time and money. Definitely a good value. But it is still a bit pricy especially that you need to touch up every month.

I will be using this color until they no longer make it. It's really a great product. It's really healthy for my hair. The conditioner is the best. Wish I could find it for sale in a bottle. I highly recommend Olia if you prefer the healthy route.

I just switched to this product Olia after using a product made by the same exact company L’Oréal. I called the main office. I was a redhead, and none of the dyes offered consistent coverage without having a lighter crown. Reds are difficult.. fading.. uneven colors, so I switched to dark brown. 4.0. This was my original natural color. I should have done this years and years ago There’s no comparison, no ammonia smell, it’s oil based, complete covered, looks so much better… I will Never use a pyrite ammonia again. My hair looks like hair, not dried or frizzy.
