Good product and easy to use
I have a shark vacuum and love it. So thought I would get a shark steamer. It’s light weight and doesn’t put wear on my back! I will say, if you have dogs that shed, make sure to vacuum with a regular vacuum before. I vacuumed the night before, and within a few hours there was hair on the ground again. I decided to see what the steam mop would pick up. It picked up small debris, but pushed the hair around. It works great as just a steam mop though! Easy to clean also.

Best steamer around
I bought the Shark steamer because we just moved into a new house, and the floors looked like the previous owners had been hosting indoor tractor pulls. One pass with this thing and suddenly my hardwoods were shining like they were auditioning for a cleaning commercial. I’m talking reflection so sharp I caught a glimpse of my soul level shine. The combo of deep scrubbing and steam sanitizing all at once is borderline wizardry. I used to think mops were just sad wet sticks, now I’m convinced this one is a life coach disguised as a cleaning tool. It’s lightweight, easy to maneuver, and made our “well-loved” floors look genuinely brand new. If this mop ran for president, it would get my vote. I will say though, it may not be what everyone is looking for. If you are looking for something that also doubles as a vacuum I’d say look elsewhere like the Bissell Crosswave. We use this bad boy only after vacuuming the floor to give our floors the deeper clean they deserve. As a steamer this product is magical and is very simple to clean which is an added bonus. Nobody likes cleaning out all that wet debris, but the way this product is set up makes it a breeze.

I’m obsessed
As a nurse who values my time when cleaning the house, the steam vacuum mop is amazing. Not only do I know that it’s sanitize my floors, but it also picks up what I missed from vacuuming. Because I have dogs I always sweep or vacuum before I mop, but it even picks up what I miss. You do have to fill it a couple times and empty the dirty water while doing a room but it’s so nice to see just how dirty your floors really were. It’s so easy to use as you just start mopping when you see the steam rolling out. And the cord is super long like a regular vacuum so it allows you to get everywhere in the room.

No more sticky floors!
I’ve been using the Steam Pickup Mop for a little while now, and overall, I like it—but it took me a few days to figure that out. The biggest win is that my floors no longer feel sticky, which was my main goal. That said, it’s not perfect. For stuck-on messes, you need to go over the spot several times to get it clean. Also, the built-in light is basically useless. I own a Dyson Absolute Detect, and the green light on that is a total game changer—it highlights dirt and residue clearly. In contrast, the mop’s light showed nothing, and I had to bring the vacuum back out just to see what was really left behind. I ended up buying a separate green light attachment, and that made a noticeable difference. One minor downside: the added light makes it harder to get into corners, so I have to adjust the mop more than I’d like. It would be great if the manufacturer included a proper green detection light, especially given the price of the unit. A few more things: it doesn’t polish the floors (which makes sense—it’s a steam mop), and I wish the water tank was larger. Still, I couldn’t find another option that combined the features I needed with lightweight, versatile design. So while I don’t love it, and I do think it’s overpriced, I’ve grown to appreciate it. It gets the job done, and my floors definitely feel cleaner.

Love this thing!
To preface this; I have 5 cats, 1 small dog, 1 child and 3 other adults in my house. Laminate flooring throughout downstairs, except the ugly tile in the kitchen. I just used this in every room downstairs, without vacuuming first, and it works GREAT! Picked up crumbs, cat food, strings, carpet fibers, SO much cat hair, and a ton of other unidentified small debris. Luckily, I actually read the instructions and saw that sometimes you have to go back over hair/debris slowly to get it to pick up, but it always did. Incredibly easy to take apart and clean. The tool that comes with it to help clean the brush roll is an awesome added bonus, works really well. I also have a Bissell Symphony but this thing blows that out of the water. So easy to use, I plan to show my son how to work it (he's 9)!

More Trouble than it's Worth
I have 3 Shark cleaning machines: the Stick Vac, the Shark Robot Vacuum and the Hand Vac. I thought because these appliances were very efficient and easy to clean, that this Shark Steam Pickup would also be efficient and easy to clean. But NO!! It's more work to clean this steam cleaner than it is to clean the floor. I've cleaned it after each use, as I do the Robot Vacuum and the Stick, which are easy. First of all, the pamphlet enclosed is in French! No help there. And there is no explanation whether or not the roller is supposed to come out. There are 2 plastic receptacles to clean which require a brush, cleaning solution and a lot of patience. You can't get access to the larger container, so it's impossible to really get it clean. That dirt will only accumulate with each use. Another issue is that I've had to reassemble it, put it back together SEVERAL TIMES before the red warning light stopped flashing. French instruction manual useless of course. I couldn't figure out why the red light kept flashing. It seems random, trial and error, reassembling the roller and water reservoirs to get it to work again. Otherwise, the roller doesn't propell the machine and it sits there fuming. I don't know if I can return it becuase I used it. How else would I find out if it was a good machine. For almost $200. it is overpriced and not worth the trouble. It does leave water in the storage tray. Go for a simpler machine that just washes the floor instread of vacuuming and steaming together. It's too much for this machine to handle, and I vacuumed and dusted the floors first! Again, main issue is cleaning the machine and getting it back to gether so the RED LIGHT doesn't flash.

Worked fine for 2 cleans of the floor of my small 1 bed apartment. On the 3rd use the steam stopped being produced and cold water just dribbles from the machine. Returning it.
