Great for Cruises and Off The Beaten Path
I purchased two dual pack sets for our Alaskan cruise on Royal Caribbean. They worked very well while in the ship and at ports of call. The RC app often either didn't work or delayed messages which was a nightmare since we had 14 people in our immediate family and about 75 people overall. Battery Life was great. I appreciated that the radios used a standard USB C connector so I didn't have to bring special cables. Range was fantastic for communicating with family on and off the ship. The controls were simple to use for all ages. We also got weather alerts while we were off the ship due to a tsunami warning. Carrying the radios wea simple, I clipped them onto my day bag and adjusted the volume so that I could hear chatter when needed. Sound quality was excellent. The radios are built well and very durable. These are GMRS Radios and you need a license to use them legally in the US. You don't need to take an exam, but you do need to pay the FCC for a license which lasts for 10 years and.covers everyone in your immediate family. This is due to the extended range and watts. While these are 5 watt radios, GMRS radios can go up to 50 watts. Good radio. I'd buy again.

Easy to use, excellent quality
Solid feel in the hand, intuitive controls, included antenna's leave room for improvement, however, especially the shorties. Of the three I tested (fourth one had a little accident), VSWR was around 3.2-3.3 for center of GMRS band (462 and 467MHz) corresponding to 70% forward power (5watts out of HT results in 3.5watts radiated). The included long antenna's are quite a bit better averaging around 2.4 VSWR or 83% forward power. The radio itself is programmable with CHIRP software and includes the programming cable (extremely handy). Let my nephew and a couple other kids play "fox hunt" using the GPS capability. Only complaint about these is when they are in GPS mode, if the radio queried (based on ID) doesn't respond the interrogating radio gets stuck in a loop and you have to turn it off/on to get it to reset, but the benefits of the GPS location mode significantly outweighs this. Battery life is excellent, ran around listening to repeaters for a couple days before every needing to recharge. Being able to recharge with a USB-C cable is an ginormous benefit. For the price these radio's are an extraordinary value, they seem durable as well after I inadvertently bounced one off the dining room hard-wood floor but time will ultimately tell. Absolutely can't beat the price for a two pack just make sure to run the long antenna's to protect the transmitter when running high power, could probably use the shorties on channels 8-14 all day long without issue if you don't need to go far. Pictures should be as follows; first three are short included, then last four are long included antenna's, if the order gets mixed up the higher VSWR (top right chart) are the three shorties.

Good quality & and excellent pricing
If your new to GRMS radio & need good quality, simple, budget friendly radio this will work! Simple & useful features, monitor 2 channels, monitor FM radio & pre-programmed NOA weather stations. Amazon 2 pack with accessories (2) sets of antennas, ear buds for under $70 canโt beat it The best feature I like: charging via a supplied USB-C type or any standard C-type charging cable. No need to worry xtra batts or proprietary charging cradles.

Well made product that does the job well for cheap. But is not cheaply made.
Well made product that feels well made. Battery life is really no more than one day so carry a spare or get a powerpack on hikes or plug in in the car. Not water proof which made us leave in the car on a wet day hike. The brightness is impossible to see the screen in the sun. Easy to get started and yse right away. Can not wait to try other products from Radioddity. Worked well between cars on a road trip from San Francisco to Phoenix with stops at major national parks. When an issue arose with a blown out tire in Death Valley, down a gravel road where the second car was several miles away we were able to communicate and lend assistance in the 112 degree heat. Also worked well during long travel times in the mountains where there was no cell service. Has limitations but more to do with area of use not the equipment. As a first time CDMA radio use I have lots to learn after getting my license but it saved us on several occasions on this trip.

GPS not working on one of the radios, waiting on replacement
Radios are nice and have good, clear communication. One radio has a bad GPS and will not connect, while the other radio connects in less than 2 minutes. I contacted Radioddity and got quick response. They will be sending me a replacement.

I definitely recommend these radios.
Great radios. I have had these radios for a couple of months now, and I am very impressed with the quality and ease of programming. I definitely recommend ordering the two-pack so you get the programming cable. I use CHIRP to program them and it is very easy to update the channels and functions. I really like being able to list frequencies and repeaters into banks for when I travel. That way I don't have to go through so many channels to access the one I want. I have them broken into four banks for my home area, traveling north, traveling south, and one for HAM repeaters. With 1,000 channels divided into 10 banks, I will always have space to store all my information. I have even programmed the International Space Station frequency. I also use the radios to scan/monitor police, fire, and EMS channels to keep aware of what is going on around me. I definitely recommend these radios. Would give them more than five stars if I could.
