Piscifun Torrent Fishing Rod, IM6 Carbon 2-Piece Baitcaster & Spining Rod

I really haven’t had a chance to use this bait caster, but I bought the first GEN before and I loved it. I had it for a very, very long time. It finally gave out on me. The second generation bait caster is sleek love to feel most people will complain about the thumb handle, but I love it size perfect for my fingers. I’m still giving that five star even though the thumb bar is a little tight when coming to press it down to release your line. I’m thinking overtime. Maybe it’ll loosen in a little bit. Given the fact that this is brand new. You can never complain for the price and quality that piscifun provides for the cost. Don’t mind the ice rod. I only used it to spool the bait caster. Up date!! I’ve received my two piece rod for travel. I was hoping to make a separate review but Amazon has my order as one. I have always trusted in piscifun for that inexpensive and great quality for those times you do not want to ruin or maybe damage you’re more expensive fishing gear while traveling. They have picked up their game and how they package my order. It did come in your typical Amazon box, but my fishing rod was packaged very well and I appreciate that. I even suggest using this company if you’re a beginner bass for Sherman or any finesse fisherman trying to learn bait casting. You can never go wrong using this company. They have variety of style styles of spinning reels and bait casters that fit your needs.

Strong but light. I use it in saltwater and it has held up on big fish and great to cast.

The rod is really good quality. I got the 7'3" Medium Fast action. This size weight and action normally fits what im looking for in a carbon rod. So i ordered 2 of these, sight unseen. Build quality is really good, but they really need to evaluate the action rating of the rods. All the fast action carbon rods i have are stiff, with a good amount of back bone. If you shake the rod by hand it should barely flex. These Torrent rods are really pretty whippy, almost like an older glass rod, not that bad, but very flexible and whippy. They do cast light lures a mile. That flex works great for that. For the price its an awesome rod, and will suit me well. If you are using braided line, the rod will give you a good shock absorber with braided line. It is very sensitive, bites can be felt very easily.

This Piscifun Torrent Spinning Rod is a reasonable priced sensitive IM6 carbon graphite rod. This is my second one, the first is used for Wacky worm, and Ned rig fishing on 20 Lb braid with a florocarbon leader. My latest purchase was the same rod only its a Medium Heavy action with a Piscifun 300 size Spinning reel with 30 lbs Braid for worm and swim jigs or chatter baits. It's a rod that is well made, good guides, and robust ferule to join the 2 pieces of the rod. I have more expensive rods but these rods stand up right with them.

Rod was packaged very well. Unfortunately that's the only good thing I can say about this rod. The rod is so fast it's wobbly. And it's heavy in weight only. I haven't even added the reel yet and my arm is tiered. Don't buy this rod.

I ordered this rod for a cheap rod to keep in my car. It fits that bill but it's definitely not a fast action rod. Moderate at best. It's like a noodle. I'm going to keep it for fishing for panfish and trout but, I wanted one for fishing smallmouth in rivers. It doesn't have the backbone for throwing topwater baits or for setting the hook on a jig. Eyes seem to have plastic inserts which will get grooves worn into them with braided line. It will work for crappie and trout as stated because I use fluorocarbon line. If you fish braid, or need to throw anything over a 1/4 oz, I'd look at something else
