Excellent Battery Backup System
Item is well designed and works well. It switches over to battery instantly and maintains power as specified. The display shows the voltage, watts, and battery level on one screen at the same time. The system beeps softly when on battery and can be silenced by pushing a button. The fan only comes on with heavy extended use and is very quiet. Overall, it is an excellent value, especially considering the extended life of the lithium battery which is also much lighter.

Perfect battery backup
Pure sine wave output is really important. After powering on, there’s absolutely no noise, and all my devices run very stably. The LiFePO4 battery offers 230.4Wh capacity in such a compact size. The 10-year lifespan gives me great peace of mind — I no longer have to worry about replacing the battery every few years. I’ve been using it for 5 days now. It runs quietly, with normal heat dissipation and no strange odors at all. Excellent value for the price, and knowing I won’t need to change the battery for many years makes it even better!

Great UPS for moderate power needs!
We unboxed this GOLDENMATE 1000VA/800W Lithium UPS last night and were very impressed. The product looks very nice and it was packaged well, almost over-packaged when you think about the amount of cardboard that gets used. The display is bright, easy to read, and very intuitive. We charged it overnight and then tested it on our computer setup today. We have 2 computers, one large 4K monitor, and lots of peripherals. With an average load of 120 watts or so, this unit powered our setup for over an hour and used 2 out of 5 bars of battery level. I don't know if it is linear but the manual states it uses a 25.7v 9Ah battery. That's roughly 230 watt hours ignoring conversion losses. With our usage, that would give us 2 hours of run time with the power out and that's about what our first test showed. I plugged it in and out of the outlet a few times and none of our equipment even blinked so it seems robust. The best part is we NEVER heard the fan come on! Our older Eaton UPS was a great protector of our gear but the fan noise was bad enough that we had to put it in another room and run an extension cord from it. One thing to consider when you set this up is any peripherals that use large surge currents, like laser printers. In our case, the laser printer we use surges 10A or more when the internal heater comes on, and also spikes power when we print something. So, we chose to leave that off the UPS circuit. No sense wasting large amounts of capacity servicing a printer during a power outage. If you have much higher loads like this you need to protect then this product may not be big enough for you. But for our needs it's a winner. Now we can put this Goldenmate UPS right next to our other equipment and hope it will keep it all safe for a few good years. Thanks Goldenmate for a nice product!

Working good so far, but with a few minor niggles.
My house is on a gas generator, so battery backups only need to really last for at most a few minutes before the genset kicks in and powers everything. But in that moment, I need a reliable UPS for my PC and assorted electronics. The other lead acid units I've used for the last 20-odd years have been mostly reliable but when the batteries fail, it seems that 9 times out of ten the unit itself would soon experience some sort of failure, and any money spent on new batteries would be wasted. So I was eager to try this lithium ion technology as a backup device, in the hopes that it will work for long enough to offset both the added extra cost to buy and the lack of ability to replace the internal batteries. So far, so good, but I've only had it for about six months. This device is more than adequate for my main PC, which is not a gaming PC but also not a standard desktop unit. It's kind of in-between and is a higher power draw than a laptop or basic off the shelf unit would be. Since I only need backup power for at most 5 minutes, I've also added my modem and router to the device to keep internet up during short outages. So far, it handles them all without issue. I will say that on one occasion, a short power blip did seem to cause the unit to hiccup. My PC didn't shut off but the modem did. Luckily it was during an off peak time so no one was inconvenienced too much. But it still does make me wonder if it will happen again some time. The unit itself does seem to switch ever so slightly more slowly to backup power than the traditional units I've had from APC or Cyberpower. Something to consider, I suppose, if you have sensitive electronics. One worry I've had is that the unit would have an obnoxious buzzer or alarm when in backup mode. Some reviews complained about that while others seem to say it doesn't have a buzzer at all. Mine does, but it's honestly kind of a quiet, pathetic little whizzer that I can barely hear, so it doesn't wake me up annoying if an outage happens when I'm asleep. The alarm can be silenced by pressing the button on the front panel, but frankly I haven't been annoyed enough yet to even try that. The same button also does other functions so I don't really want to take a chance on hitting it for too long and shutting the whole thing down. Overall, it seems like a good device. The build quality is definitely not up to the big name brands' quality. The LCD display is a bit wonky and the bog-standard LED lights on the front panel seem like they came from some industrial machine from the 70's, but overall it's compact, quiet and has plenty of plugs on the back to power whatever, so I'm happy. Whether it lasts long enough to justify the price difference of lithium ion, though, remains to be seen.

Expensive but worth it. Better than lead acid.
Works well. Switches over quick enough it doesn't register by any of my even sensitive electronics. However one minor annoyance is it switches something every night at midnight. So you hear the some what loud click. I haven't run a full depletion cycle but did cycle it 3x from 20-90% to keep battery "healthy." And should run it under a load until 10-20% every so often to keep it in good heath. I kinda wished the display can stay on instead of timing out.

Quiet and works well with anything electronic
These are great, very quiet and last a long time during a power outage. Best of all, they use LiON batteries, so very lightweight, just a little more expensive initial cost.

A significant departure from the bulky lead-acid backups
This Lithium UPS is a significant departure from the bulky, lead-acid backups most of us are used to. By moving to LiFePO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) technology, it addresses the biggest pain point of traditional UPS systems: the fact that the batteries usually die every 2–3 years. The LiFePO4 Advantage: The standout feature is the 10-year lifespan. Traditional Lead-Acid (SLA) batteries are notorious for losing capacity quickly, especially in warm environments. Cycle Life: With over 5,000 cycles, you could technically exhaust the battery every day for 13 years before it hits its end-of-life. Power Performance: The 800W / 1000VA capacity is the "sweet spot" for a high-end home office or a gaming setup. Pure Sine Wave: This is critical. Many cheaper UPS units use "Simulated Sine Wave," which can cause buzzing or hardware damage to sensitive power supplies in high-end PCs and medical equipment. Pure Sine Wave ensures your electronics receive "clean" power identical to what comes out of a wall outlet. Usability & Noise: The physical interface is streamlined but requires a quick look at the manual to master the "one-button" logic though. The Multi-Function Switch: It’s clever, but you have to be precise. A quick tap mutes the buzzer (a godsend during a storm), a 3-second press powers it on, and a 5-second press shuts it down. The Cooling Fan: Note that this unit isn't silent under load. The fan kicks in during heavy battery usage. At 50 dB, it’s roughly the volume of a quiet conversation or a large refrigerator humming. The "Buzzer Mute" Feature: One of the most annoying traits of older UPS systems is the incessant "beeping" during a blackout. This system including a dedicated mute function via the single-touch switch shows they are actually listening to user feedback. In short… Pros: - Longevity: 10 years of maintenance-free use is a game-changer. - Safety: The built-in BMS (Battery Management System) prevents the overheating/overcharging issues sometimes associated with lithium. - Pure Sine Wave: Safe for sensitive iMacs, gaming rigs, and servers. Cons: - Single Button Complexity: Using one button for power, shutdown, and muting can lead to accidental shutdowns if you aren't careful with your "press time." - Fan Noise: If you are using this for a bedroom media center, the 50 dB fan might be noticeable when it activates. Ideal For: Remote workers, gamers with expensive rigs, and anyone tired of replacing lead-acid batteries every two years.

Good entry level LifePo UPS
When I saw a LifePo UPS I knew. I had to have it especially with the weather we've been having around here lately. We have been through multiple power failures recently and this unit helped keep my phone, tablet, lamp and a fan running all day. Why does this lose a star? A couple of relatively minor reasons. 1) This is a "dumb" power supply. There are no USB or ethernet ports, no way to connect it to a PC. So no firmware updates, of monitoring interface, or ability to shut down a computer on power fail. 2) The display. It has a basic display that shows battery level, input and output voltage and wattage. That's all, no time remaining or recharge time. Which is fine if your only purpose is to shut down your system or your draw is so low you can usually out last an outage. There are 2 other things that I consider neither a plus or minus: 1) The failure alarm.. Some have said it's loud, I don't believe it's as loud as it should be. Some will like, others will not. 2) All of the plugs are on the battery. There are no pass through or "surge only" outlets. A lot of people will plug in non-essentials (like Printers, speakers, or RGB) for the convenience in the surge only plugs, but on this device they will all be sucking power in the event of a failure. Remember a lot of modern devices still draw power even in standby, so plugging non-essentials into the battery can take away life from your necessary components. None of these shortcomings should dissuade you from buying this if you need a simple backup power source for low wattage devices like chargers, fans, radios, or even laptops. And this is a LifePo battery, so no needing to swap out $50 lead acid batteries every year.
