Spigen Slim Armor Pro Designed for Pixel 9 Pro Fold Case (2024) [Hinge Protection] - Black

I've had this case for 8 months and it's been holding up great. You do need to clean the dust out of the hinge cover every once in awhile.The adhesive on the case has been holding to the phone very well. All the reviews of people saying that the case is coming off either didn't clean their phone before applying the adhesive or are extremely rough with their phone.I dropped it a few times and it has done its job.

I literally never write reviews...I had to for this one. Like every other negative review on here, it is 100% accurate & the positive reviews must literally be paid for. This front plate adhesive is laughable at best. I almost squeezed my screen protector off the edges trying to apply pressure for minutes at a time trying to give this thing my best effort to stick. It never did but when I got it as stuck as I could, I tried opening the fold and the hinge immediately snapped the front plate right off again. Then on top of which, the additional adhesive strips....why? how?

Case has a sleek design and the folding hinge works well. But within a few months the case started peeling apart. I didn't realize this, but in addition to the adhesive that attaches the case to the phone, the case has 2 layers of plastic/rubber and the outer layer can peel off the inside plastic (which attaches to the phone). So, now a few months in, the outer layer is peeling off the inner part of the case. Maybe the interior adhesive just wasn't good quality, but for the price of this case, I expected the longevity of the materials to last as long as the phone's upgrade timeline (2-3 years).

Box came unsealed with clear signs of tampering (several of the adhesive stickers were missing from the sheet with some stuck to the box).The case seems intact with all of the adhesives in place, so at least there is that. It also had one cleaning pad and the spare sheet which was missing several stickers in the box. Beyond that, I don't know what else was missing.I'm skeptical of how this case will hold up in the long term given the obvious tampering with the product, but I'll be giving it a shot at least. Spigen worked well for my previous phone 🤷‍♂️ (z fold 3)Tldr, concerned by the obvious tampering with the box, but it's ultimately a piece of plastic, so not the end of the world.

I have purchased 6 different cases for my Pixel Pro 9 Fold. The lightest cases didn't protect the hinge which I found out is crucial. My daughter dropped my phone from a counter top while reaching for something and the phone fell on the hinge. That destroyed the inside screen. I have since been looking for a case that protects the hinge. The problem has been the weight with every case I have tried. The Spigen adds weight but not as much as all the other cases I have tried. The other very important feature is that the Spigen case doesn't come with a screen protector built into the from part of the case. Every case I have bought has not only been super heavy, but comes with a cheap built in screen protector that makes the screen look crappy. The Spigen screen has allowed me to use a high quality glass screen protector (purchased separately) for the front screen. I highly recommend this case.

Quick update:I came back to the product page to find dimensions. The only issue I've had with the size and bulk of the phone is that my current magnetic phone holder is not big enough for the case so the phone wants to slip out while driving. I think I've found a suitable replacement. But while here I read some reviews saying that the front cover pops off. I so far have not had that issue. I made sure to clean the phone with the alcohol pad and dry it thoroughly. I had one small issue getting the cover off of one piece of the included double sided tape but that is. I also added regular screen protector before putting the front on because it does not have a built in screen protector for the front screen. So far it feels like it's on really good! Spigen includes extra pieces of double sided tape if needed. Hopefully that will be enough for people to fix the front piece without it falling off. Otherwise it's pretty useless. Unfortunately their just aren't many options for covers so far.I also purchased this one while waiting for the Spigen. It was great and had a built in screen protector for the front screen. I've already seen people post about damaging the hinge in drops without a cover and I'm just not willing to risk that. It is a gorgeous phone without the case but also heavy and awkward, making it prone to drops. This case is worth every penny if protects the phone for a few years. I added a glass screen protector to the front screen as this cover doesn't include that. I ordered a cheaper option to cover me for the past week and it came with a front cover with a built in screen protector. It was so much bulkier than this one from Spigen. If you want to protect the phone, including the hinge, I'm now sure anyone can do better than this.

Not the thinnest case around by a long shot, but it provide excellent protection all around including the hinge spine. As thick as it is, I've also had no issue with wireless charging. I even applied a magsafe ring to the back to make it compatible with magsafe chargers and car mounts. Works great! This isn't the case that I rock day to day, but when I do any outdoor activities, I switch to this and and I don't have to worry. It also seems to fit well enough that I don't even use the adhesive strips. It's thick in all the right place for protection and curvy in the right places for excellent ergonomics. It's far easier to hold than it's bulk would suggest.
