This item is great for adults, but not for children as advertised imho. While many of the phrases are cute and funny for everyone like, "When life gives you cucumbers, make pickles and keep pickling," "Just like a delicious pickle, you add flavor to the word," and "Pickle yourself up, it's a crunchy world out there," some of the phrases are not appropriate for small children, ones that include: "Life's too short..." "Take risks..." and "The only way to achieve the impossible is to believe it is possible." Not great for little kids who believe they can fly if they just try hard enough. No problem getting a refund, so I appreciate that.

The screaming pickle is alarming and people may get anxious or can have anxiety attacks if they are hyper vigilant. My emotional support pickle comes right on time. This was a gift for a coworker who needed a pick me up. She loved it. I wish it had a face or something that made it a little cuter. I guess it is funnier the way it is because it looks just like a plain pickle. It was a cute gift and affordable. I would buy it again.
