Creature Comforts - Complete Series 3: In The USA [DVD]

Bought as a gift and the recipient is still laughing out loud now on the umpteenth viewing as he did on the first!Quite often what is going on in the background is funnier than the main skit.Although not quite as funny as the first two series it has earned it's own place in the line up and deserves the accolade.Three generations watch this and find it hilarious so it's value for money still.

I cannot understand why this series wasn't accepted in the USA, although having lived in the there for 12 years maybe I can.This series is more than capable of producing belly laughs and is beautifully made. It is the best of the 3 Series in my opnion.

This is considered the third series of the show from a U.K. standpoint. But Really it’s more an American remake in a sense. Some of the topics from the first two series are carried over for the American public. The background gags that make the first two series so funny are still very much present here along with brilliant character designs and animation. I would say that there is a bit more adult references said in this series than I can remember out of the two U.K. series. But nothing that I’d say kids can’t be exposed to. But it does explain its 12 age rating compared to the familiar pgIt’s still such a comforting (funnily enough) show to watch and if you are a fan of the series and Aardman in general than certainly worth picking up. I purchased mine as used but very good. And I swear it was brand new. So can’t complain with that.The only thing that is giving it a low score for me is the reuse of topics and that I think the characters and variation in the voices of the U.K. show is what really gives it the extra bit of life.Aside from that this series only ran for 7 episodes. Which is still a good two hours worth of fun. It just feels like perhaps it lacks somewhere that I can’t quite put my finger on.Nevertheless. Very much recommended if you are a fan

USA accents are never as cute as the UK accents are but this is still extremely funny and well worth watching.Also the running time is very extremely which makes it great value for the money.I look for forward to the next one .. Thank you.

Not quite as good as the UK version but they'd be hard to beat. An amusing addition to the Collection.

A great series. One for all the family. Each episode needs watching at least twice to pick up all the creature nuances and also all the stuff going on in the background!

Each successive season goes downhill.

If you're a fan of the 2 series of British Creature Comforts, you may find this somewhat disappointing. The characters lack some of the quirky diversity that was such a highlight of the UK seasons. It's still kind of entertaining, but not in the same league.I wondered at first if was a cultural issue - perhaps some of the jokes or personalities are just 'lost in translation', but on reflection, as I have lived in the USA and have many American friends, I think more that this series simply doesn't have the inspiration and creativity that the first 2 had. I feel that this was done more as a, 'lets try and make some money from the American market', rather than from a genuine sense of fun and excitement about people.The 2 previous seasons were cleared 'of the UK, for the UK'. This one you're not really sure who they're target audience is.
