Not a straight fit out of the box for Optoma HD 20
Did not fit the Optoma HD20 very well. The shape and location of the electrical pins are the same but the bulb housing differs in size ever so slightly making it sit at an angle. Finally fitted it after filing one corner of the bulb housing.

Melted my HD180 lens
About a minute after installing this product and remounting my Optoma HD180 the center of the screen went dark. I now know that is because this aftermarket bulb is far hotter than the previous aftermarket bulb I used and it melted the lens. Now I am going to have to buy an $80 replacement lens and apparently it takes about three hours to install.

Works perfectly. Projector looks brand new

If you love your hD20 replace it with this bulb!
almost bought a new projector, 20 bucks later this fixed it in 15 mins. Most of the time I took was taking it down. Only issue I had was the screws it came with didn't fit, I had to use the ones on the old lamp. I like my HD20, been going strong for many years now. Looks I bought myself some more time.

Defective bulb?
Bought as a spare because current bulb has over 2000 hrs on itTried it out. After half hour it developed a dark spot (picture).Took out and reinstalled old bulb. Working againReturned.

Garbage
Lasted only 3 months before it said it needed replacing. Don't waste your money.
