If you don't own these pencils, buy NOW!
You will be amazed at how these pencils can transform a piece of wood that you thought was ruined into "where" was the scratch? I own these pencils in almost every color as, if you don't have a pencil that is an "exact" match to the finish you are trying to restore, you can blend two or more pencil fill colors to come up with a custom color that suits your purpose. Fill in your scratch with these pencils, follow it with a nice lemon-oil polish to blend and give your wooden piece a restorative glow and you will be proud of your piece once you are done. Couldn't live without these pencils in my kitchen "go to" drawer.

Very nice for touch ups.
A little costly for the item but it does help help not bring scratches and nicks to your attention.

Crumbles
The putty in this pencil crumbled when pressed into the nail holes. It was too dry and stiff for filling the holes so I had to apply more pressure, and then it would crumble. I got it to work by using my finger and a screwdriver to force it in. So it masks the holes ok, but it wasn’t easy to use. Maybe i just got an old one…

Waste of money
Horrible product. Doesn't work. The color wouldn't adhere to the furniture I was attempting to touch up. When I pushed down on it forcefully so it would stick it made it a dull color. You would be better off using kids crayons. This is as bad as an As seen on TV product that doesn't work. Buy something else because this doesn't work!

Fills in chips pretty good. Had contractors do a lousy job installing a mahogany floor, leaving a bunch of large gaps. Used this to fill it in, but it took a long time and used up half the stick. So I found matching mahogany caulk, and that worked much better for the flooring gaps. But this worked great on a couple of furniture touch ups!
