The idea is great but the quality of the product is shocking, especially for the price

Opened the box to find the to paper layer was already peeling off some of the pieces. Lovely concept but the sturdiness of the product was not what I expected for the price. We returned this.

Not worth the money

Although it's nice quality it is suitable for a child just starting to match and do simple puzzles. There are 4 magnetic pieces for each dinosaur and only enough room to make one at a time. Way to simplistic for a 3 year old but the age range is 3-8.

Good quality toy, grandson finished his Easter roast early and we gave him to play with whilst we ate. He enjoyed his new toy, and we enjoyed our lunch !

The tape hinges which were stuck to the lid and box to make the magnetic board stand up came away almost immediately. Bearing in mind this is for young children not an ideal fixing. Very disappointing. We resorted to using the fridge freezer as a magnetic base!

I bought this product for use on a long haul flight by my 18 month old. Admittedly it was a bit above her skill level at the time, but she loved playing with the cards and magnets. The magnets are hardy and survived her clumsy toddler hands, the cards (as you can see) became a bit more damaged, but not to an unusable level. My daughter is now 2 and 2 months and she is beginning to use it as intended. And she loves it. It has really sparked a love of dinosaurs, which is nice. She does sometimes struggle with aligning the pieces, as it’s not always immediately obvious for younger ones, but she’s getting there. The pieces don’t slot together like jigsaw pieces, but the size and shape of the aligning sides correspond well. You can only fit one dinosaur comfortably on the scene at once, but I guess this a sacrifice to ensure it’s relatively compact. The box is a little larger than expected; it will fit in a standard rucksack, but takes up quite a bit of space. The box itself is magnetised, preventing content spillage whilst traveling, but it’s not the strongest magnet; ours did get knocked open mid travel. The pieces are a bit small, so unfortunately we lost a couple as a result. We had a couple of duplicate cards in our kit, which I’m assuming is a one off manufacturing fault. It doesn’t hurt to have spares anyway. All in all I am glad we have this kit, and I’d consider buying others in the range.

It could cost a bit lower. Apart from the price, the product is GREAT! My son loved it and he is a very easily bored child. With this, he liked to experiment and actually dedicated a lot of time to check all the pieces, create the animals and then make pairs ( you can make 2 animals on the board ). I would definitely recommend for young children i.e. 3 years old , since it also helps them to understand "rules' , apart from puzzle solving and logical thinking. I also think it great for speech therapists e.t.c. since it is a lovely toy to have as a basic tool.

This kept my son entertained on a very miserable drive - there are so many ways to play! Create your own dragon, pick a card, or make up a story. The magnets stick well and seem like good quality. They also are large enough that they don’t get lost easily. It’s compact and light, so it would work great to take on a flight. I’m planning on buying another one for our next big trip!

Great for learning. Sorting and visuals. Material is sturdy and love that it comes in a storage box.

Fun activity, daughter enjoys all the different animals. Great matching and motor skills practice. Magnets are strong but perfect for little ones. Nice size to be able to pack for outings.

J’avais déjà acheté un Magneti’book de Janod sur le thème des métiers pour ma fille et je trouvais déjà le concept vraiment génial. Du coup, j’ai pris cette version animaux pour mon fils de 2 ans qui adore les animaux, et c’est un vrai succès 😊 Le jeu est ludique, facile à manipuler pour un jeune enfant et permet de stimuler l’imagination tout en s’amusant. Les pièces aimantées tiennent bien et le format est pratique à transporter. Très bonne qualité, comme souvent avec Janod. Je recommande sans hésiter 👍
