Working fine to till the date. Only crompton is the brand value. Good product must buy. Better than ac because good cooling with outerair+water.

It is a proper workhorse. I have been using it for little over three years. I thought I wrote a review earlier, but since I haven't and I am going to buy a second one, I thought I should. What you need to know: 1. It is pretty rugged - except that water filling flip cap - that broke - well, I did let a 20-litre water bubble slip from my hand and it landed on the flap, but it broke nonetheless. 2. You can leave it on and forget about it, except for filling up the tank - if you are able to connect a hose behind, perfect - you don't need to bother about that either. 3. The water inlet pipe is weird - i wish they gave it a normal half inch thread so normal pipes can screw in - but no. That's a bother. Well, it's a nice little exercise carrying 5-litre bottles and pouring them in. It's 75 litres, so it will take a few trips (more than 15 although math would say it's 15 times 5 litres) 4. The little plug at the bottom is a pain if you lose it. I'd find a way to tie a thread to it and fasten it to the cooler body. I misplaced it a few times and it was absolute hell trying to find it - it's minuscule and white. 5. It'll happily run on an inverter, being just 190 watts. 6. Use it at low speed for better cooling. The ice chamber is too small to be of any use. 7. The wire is surprisingly short for a cooler of its size. If I were able to, I would put a 3 to 5 metre wire for good measure. 8. The casters are not exactly great, but they're not "designed" for moving the cooler with the tank full - that's stupid if you ask me, but then again. The locking system is also pretty flimsy - it broke within the first year and a half - no complaints, really, but it's a point to note. There really isn't any replacement that will actually fit the screws - you may have to take them out and fabricate a stand with proper 4" casters. 9. It is heavy - weighs little over 15 kilos empty, and 90+ when full. IT IS NOT EASY TO MOVE! 10. If you use tap water, you'll find the typical musty swamp smell after a few days of use. Don't bother with anything fancy - dump some floor cleaner concentrate in it. That usually takes care of it. Also, you will need to add a descaler once in a while. Ideally, empty the water, pour some Harpic onto the bottom and brush the dirt and grime, rinse a few times, and then fill it half, add descaler, and let the pump run for a few hours, drain it, and rinse again before using. Doing this will prevent the little holes that deliver the water to the different regions of the wet pads from clogging up - if they do, it's a pain to clean them even with a descaler.

Was excited to purchase this but very similar to few people's comments here, even my motor stopped working after a few days without even me realising it. And after almost a month when it seems a bit fishy cz it was throwing hot Air, I thought of checking it and yes, the motor is working but there is no water supply to the honeycomb pads. Also, I noticed a piece of those strings fallen into the water inside the tank which means that it might have fallen from some or the other part inside.. I have sent a service request, hoping to hear back soon. But I am disappointed with the fact that it's a brand new product and it's not just me who is facing this issue. Is this the reason of just 10 days replacement? I will still prefer to just return it after all this chaos and disappointment. Getting a new product and then servicing it in the very first month is quite unexpected. I think it would have been better to have purchased it from the offline store. UPDATE - The guy came and said that the pipe was not attached to the motor and there were 2 fittings (screw like thing) which were just lying inside the cooler, hence, there was no waterflow. For one of the screw-like thing, he said that it's not a part of the cooler. I wonder from where is it then and why is it inside the cooler then!!! He advised not to order such appliances online to avoid damages while in transit. I expected that the issue was resolved. However, just after 6 days, the water flow stopped again and thee same guy was assigned to visit and check wherein he said that the pipe came off again. When I inquired about it, he said that he didn't use the screw-like thing for it's fitting, he just pushed and connected the pipe with the motor (without any support). The response was so unexpected as he is the person who should do it in the very first go and not wait for the ultime next time. However, he fitted it in and we were good to go (22nd April) Now again (11th May) , the water flow has stopped, we are assuming that the pipe might have come off again. I reached out to the same person directly this time, he mentioned that he will have to get it fit again inside the motor. I investigated as this was already done the last time to which he answered that the hook (screw-like thing) was loose. And he can't come today/tomorrow but directly on Saturday. I am so pissed off and I would love to return the damn product. This is the 4th time in less than 2 months. How pathetic is the service guy who knew that the hook was loose and still chose to not do anything about it!!! It's such a pathetic experience to keep on doing this after every 2 weeks. Purchasing a complete new product and watching the service guy removing multiple parts off from the cooler is so disappointing, not just once.. It's just a continuous process now in this scorching heat. This is complete disappointment!

Just got it delivered 2 hours ago ... filled it with around 50 ltrs water ... have been running it for 30 mins now and the whole house is stinking ...cooling is good though ... but the stink is unbearable ... have kept it near the window (inside the room but window is wide open ) and rooms door is open too . But the smell is yukkk .. seems like dead rat inside it .not sure about the humidity levels ... but since my father is a cancer patient ... foul smell and too much humidity is not good for him ... gonna use it for next one week .. if the conditions remain same .. going to return it . ... Haven’t tried the draining function yet .. and not sure about the water turning greenish as people have mentioned in the previous reviews ... will post a new review after a week or so ... I m Hoping the smell would go away with time as the meshes are new and they do stink when come in contact with water for the first time ... and I guess there some rubber material their as well which is causing the smell as it behaves the same way as mesh when come in contact with water for the first time ... This cooler is pretty light weight .. build quality is OK not great ... and yes its noisy ... but cooling is good .. got it for 9000 . Thanks . EDIT : Have been using it for 1 year now ... stink was gone after 10-12 days ( it was because of side insulation as it was new ) still working ... cooling is great ... humidity level is little high... overall a good product .. easy to maintain and clean ... so 3.5 stars .

Pros: Good overall quality, decent air throw. Cons: Very noisy, even on the lowest speed setting. Verdict: Skip this model if you need a quiet environment.
