The blue item quickly proved its usefulness. With the fingers of my left hand in a silicone grip I squeezed the side of the inner pot to the side of my Instant Pot cooker. This opened a gap at the right hand side so my right hand holding the blue gripper could slide the holder on the grip in the gap and grab the rim of the inner pot. I could then lift the hot pot up and get a decent hold with my covered fingers of my left hand.I also used it to grip the edge of a metal steam dish and lift the dish so it could drain excess fluid and then put the hot dish down on a prepared spot.I have not used the item coloured green yet.The blue item has grips with silicone patches attached. I gripped a plastic dish in my microwave with the gripper and lifted the hot dish and sideways moved it out. You have to remember a dish could be loaded with hot food so have your other hand in a silicone guard of some description ready to hold the hot dish with extra fingers.I also got the brush for free. Excellent for pasting on a mixture on to potatoe slices which contains garlic. I can keep this brush for that purpose.I just wish I had known about these strippers when I first had a microwave oven.Not quite sure about how to use the item with the orange holder. I already had one of these so I will have to experiment with it.Please get yourself one of these strippers. They really are good. I ordered a pink one too that has a pair of pink silicone finger guards with it. You can use the strippers with either hand and bought this second one so I could lift something out of an Instant Pot or similar using both hands. Always allow a hot dish with holes to drain by raising it a little at first AND have a space with a safe resting place for your hot item ready before you lift something out.

A wonderful set of 'grabbers' for pots and pans. Delighted with them. One specifically, blue in the illustration, is invaluable for my Instant Pot which has no inner pot handle.Package included hand-written thankyou-for-buying card and note! Nice touch.

These tongs are great. I only feel sorry I haven't ordered them years ago. They are very sturdy and with perfect grip. Very handy for my air fryer or the Instant pot - when reheating or lifting a bowl or a plate from the hot device. They arrived very quickly, nicely packed and with a complimentary silicone brush.
