LIGHTWEIGHT.
These hiking boots are fantastic for a long hike. They are comfortable and offer exceptional grip. I am not convinced they are the most durable, but so far, so good. I would NOT EVER run in these things. Altra does not promote them as suitable running shoes. These are for HIKING. Some mentioned that these run hot. Well, I used them on hot days for long hikes and yes they are hot. But no hiking mid is going to be cool in the baking sun. I would also say these are "water resistant." I didn't have any problem with them thus far. I would not try to muddle through puddles with them, but I think they do a reasonable job of keeping dew from dampening your socks. Ultimately, I'd recommend them.

Great shoes!
Was looking for a lightweight, waterproof, shoe with a wider toe box for disc golfing. These are a game changer for me as they are extremely comfortable and after a full 18 I am having zero achiness that I usually experience. Great grip and waterproofing seems good as well. Was in wet grass the entire round and socks stayed dry. Would recommend these to anyone unless you drag your toes. The front may not hold up on concrete tee pads but I don't toe drag so they should last me a bit.

Comfy and dependable
Fantastic all weather boot. Very breathable but dependable in the snow as well. Took these up to the mountains in the middle of January and the lugs and material held up for ice and snow. Additionally, the sizing and width are spot on. I got 11s and it had enough width for my wide foot to splay. As far as durability goes it’s been a good few months so far with limited wear on the sole. I’ll likely buy these again

Comfortable but stiff upper
Great shoe - good traction, support and room in the toe box. I got this to replace the non-waterproof sister model. They are more similar than different, but the added stiffness of the upper rubs my achiles tendon to the point I need to wear hiking socks with them (even after multiple walks in them). Still a good shoe, the trades you make for the waterproofing are worth bearing in mind though.

Fit perfect & comfy out of the box
As with all Altra items I’ve bought they fit perfect, are comfortable out of the box and a super lite. Love them especially when on clearance sale.

These shoes are fantastic.
I LOVE these shoes. I buy them for working in & wear them 3 or 4 times a week for 10+hrs a day depending on my work schedule. Years ago I stumbled upon the Altra brand & have been a complete convert. The wide toe box & zero drop is a God send for my feet & their health. I never knew how much the heel drop in shoes affected my overall health, back issues particularly. Now to these shoes, the water proofing on them is great & works beautifully. I will say that they do run about a half size smaller compared to the regular Altra shoes bc of the waterproof "bootie" but that is easy to fix, order a half size up. I wear size 12s in all Altra shoes except these where I wear a 12.5. The only drawback is the initial wear in stage is a bit longer with these & the "toe crease" being stiffer & it takes a longer amount of time to not feel so stiff.

Not water proof or durable
Very comfortable. However, not super durable. The outer skin tore about 3 inches back on both feet at the 6 mo mark. Theyre also NOT WATERPROOF, even before the year. Resistant yes, but not waterproof. The other issue is that because they try to be water proof, your sweat will soak your socks after a days wear. So wet feet either way. I hoped it was a one off, so I bought another pair. Sadly same issues. This one tore in the same place even earlier

Great Shoes for Camino
Great shoes. Bought them on advice from a friend for Camino Primitivo, and they carried me through 200 miles of a moderately difficult trail in Asturias and Galicia in Spain over two weeks with minimal damage to my feet. The build quality is solid, walking in them is comfortable, good value for the price. Recommend.

Whilst I am usually a 4E width for New Balance, I took a chance with these as the toe box is very generous. Unfortunately whilst the toe box is fine for a 4E foot, the mid section of the shoe was too narrow for me. Can't blame the shoe, I'll just blame my foot. In my short sojourn with the shoe around the living room I can confirm it has a nice soft flexible sole. Not as squishy as the Torin 5 but soft and nice enough to differentiate it from regular sneakers. Show is lightweight and appears to have some padding and waterproofing material on the inside of the shoe. its light and very unobtrusive on the feet. feels just like a trainer. I'd recommend it for normal feet!
