Addictive!
I ordered the Phlur sample set and this scent Strawberry Letter is my favorite by far! If I would have listened to some of the bad reviews I would not have found one of my favorite perfumes. It is true, there is not a heavy strawberry scent but is an addictive scent difficult to describe because I am not a perfume specialist. I have not worn perfume in several years because I worked in the health care industry and couldn’t and wanted to try a soft scent. I love this scent so much I ordered the large bottle and am considering ordering a second bottle so I can have it with me at all times. I have received many compliments when wearing it. Because of the mixed reviews my inexperience with perfumes I would recommend ordering the sample set or travel size so you don’t hate me if you don’t like it. I will also be ordering larger bottles of Soft Spot, vanilla Skin, and possibly Rose Whip.

For Strawberry Lovers
If you are, like me, a strawberry obsessed girlie this is the fragrance for you. Most ppl in my life know I love strawberries. My hair stylist used to call me strawberry girl, those are my qualifications for this review lol. If you're trying to leave the world of bath of body works type products behind but you still want a perfume that smells specifically like strawberry and not just suggestive of an idea of a concept of a strawberry, this is the one. Lasts (on me) a long time especially when layered w lotions and potions. I like to increase the strawberry meter by layering w strawberry lotions but a vanilla lotion or whatever creative combination you feel can be fun. Lots of people online have made suggestions better than mine combining lotions and oils etc.

I love it
I like this one so I bought the caramel skin which is wonderful I love the smell of both of them but this one is a little stronger than the caramel skin my bottles did not leak it has a little strawberry smell but once it's settles down it's like a vanilla flavor.

Masculine and woody. Doesn't really smell like strawberry
EDIT- changed from 2 stars to 4 stars. I did not like this at first at all. It was sharp, woody, and slightly acrid with musk. LET IT MACERATE/MATURE. It changes the smell COMPLETELY. It smells sweeter, and so much more fruity balanced by only a hint of woodyness. I let it macerate for 6 weeks. The top notes just needed time to mature and develop in the bottle, if you dont give it this time, you will only smell the base and middle notes which make it smell imbalanced. To let it macerate, spray it about 10-15 times to make space in the bottle, and let it sit for a few weeks in a dark, temperature controlled space. Original, 2 stars- Doesn't smell like strawberry and isnt very sweet. It smells almost masculine. It has a strong spicy/woody/musk-like component which finishes with a bit of a fruityness at the very end. It smells very similar to Glossier You Reve (the one in the magenta bottle) except less sweet. Glossier you reve (which is a sweet, fruity, plum-inspired scent) is much more elevated and feminine, it still has a deep musk-component, but not in a masculine way. Glossier You Reve Is also cheaper for 1oz. Im glad I got the small size on sale before committing to the large sized bottle. I dont think this is a good daily summer or spring fragrance for women, its too spicy/woody/musky. Maybe as an evening fragrance. I could see this being okay for people who like woody scents or prefer a more masculine-leaning scent profile.

PHLUR PERFUME
That's how you know a fragrance has truly won you over: one bottle quickly turns into an entire collection. Phlur has this knack for creating fragrances that are clean yet addictive, subtle yet memorable. I like warm, cozy, slightly sensual scents with a touch of boldness — perfect! And Rose Whip at the end? Bold, modern, and totally irresistible. Honestly, this is the kind of collection I use depending on my mood: • for a cozy day • for a confident night out • for when you want to receive compliments

Disappointed
This smells good right away but then it smells like an expired 1970’s avon perfume

I Fell for the Ads on Social Media
… and I’ve learned my lesson! I kept seeing the ads on Facebook and Instagram about Phlur fragrances and Body Mists. I know better! I created SEO content for major brands for a decade and am one of the jerks who used all those fancy key words and inserted them into ads just like the ones Phlur uses to suck gullible consumers like myself, into buying something. Even worse, I’m a fragrance snob who usually sticks to what I know works with my body chemistry. But nope, I ignored my own gut telling me this was NOT going to be a fun and fruity scent. Initially I ordered the Mango and another fruit scent via Phlur’s site after caving in to the ads. Then I read through more of the comments and kicked myself. A LOT of people said to order off Amazon if ordering Phlur scents because when ordered straight off the brand site, orders were never received or were coming from Scandinavia and Europe in general. I ordered this scent, Strawberry Letter, via Amazon as so many suggested doing. Received it in two days (still haven’t received order directly from Phlur). Upon smelling the perfume in the bottle itself, it was a bit acrid smelling (reminded me of the sharp, unpleasant smell that Glossier’s “You” has) and then a super sharp cheap strawberry wine scent hit me. Yuck. TLDR … I guess my body chemistry laughed and said, “So you decided to FA & you FO …” It smells like Baccarat Rouge 540 which I loathe! It smells like cheap men’s cologne and curry on me. This Phlur Strawberry Letter stuff smells like the Baccarat fragrance but with sour-milk-swamp-booty notes that dry down to stale- curry-and-old-man-in-the-Deep-South. Save yourself some disappointment and a potential headache (like the one I’ve got) and go to Sephora - the only retail store that carries Phlur- and smell/sample this stuff BEFORE you buy it. I am going to return this and pray that the “Heavy Cream” scent (also Phlur) that I blind-bought on Amazon and gets here Friday, smells better, and that I receive the other stuff ordered from Phlur directly and that it doesn’t make me shed massive tears of fragrance-regret.

It's for me, but I could see someone not being a fan.
I already knew I'd love this scent, it's my go to summer scent that I have gotten so many compliments on. It's definitely NOT for everyone, but the ones that are fans of its unique profile, know they have to have it, the minute they get a wiff!
